Round 2 of the Blast R6 Copenhagen Major ended on 31th of April 2023. All of the matches were BO1, and 8 teams have been demoted to the Round 3 Lower Round, where they will fight for elimination. While the other 8 have managed to get into the fight for qualification.

Round 2 High Matches

Game 1: Faze Clan vs SSG

Faze Clan managed to clinch the victory against SSG 7-4. Faze managed to get 3 rounds a piece in their Attack as well Defence side on Theme Park. Before they finally closed it out in the second half. SSG did manage to put up a fight, but it wasn’t enough against the Brazilians.

Game 2: VirtusPro vs Wolves

Fighting it out on Villa, VirtusPro had a commanding game against Wolves. They managed to beat the French-Swiss roster 7-1. VP had a near perfect game, losing only one round on their attack side. This left little breathing room for the Wolves, as VP took an easy victory.

Game 3: Liquid vs w7m

W7m beat Liquid in a thrilling back-and-forth on Bank 7-5. Both teams looked quite evenly matched, trading rounds in the beginning, and both teams managing a 3 round stint on their attack sides. However, w7m had a much better defense, allowing them 3 straight round win on defense, and winning out the map.

Game 4: DarkZero vs Soniqs

Canadian and his newly acquired heroes had a devastating time against Soniqs, as DZ lost the map 7-1. Soniqs seemed to have the better control on Theme Park, as DZ were left scrambling for answers round after round. Managing to win only one round on their defense, DZ had a poor showing on this map.

Round 2 Low Matches

Game 1: SZ vs REVEN

SZ managed to steal away a map from REVEN as they won on Kafe Dostoyevsky 8-6. REVEN had the upper hand for most of the game, even managing to get to Map Point first. However, SZ did not falter, and pushed the map into Overtime. Where they outplayed SZ on the opening two rounds to take the map win.

Game 2: G2 vs MNM

Second match of the day that went into overtime, G2 managed to steal a map from MNM 8-7. Fighting it out on Kafe Dostoyevsky again, MNM were doing quite well. The Marshmallows managed to get the Map point first. But G2 pushed the game into Overtime, and even though MNM managed to take the first round, G2 stole the map from right under them in the following two rounds.

Game 3: Dplus vs Falcons

Duking it out on Villa, Dplus took the win from Falcons in what was a relatively easy game for the South Koreans. The Falcons had a poor defense, as they only managed 2 rounds. And an even worse attack side, with only 1 round win. Dplus had complete control of the map.

Game 4: M80 vs NIP

Final game of the day was won by NIP, as they beat the Brazilian-International squad 7-3 on Chalet. The Ninjas did not have a great attack side, managing to concede 3 rounds. But these were the only 3 rounds, as M80 had no answers for their Attack side. Winning 4 rounds in a row, NIP handily beat M80.

Round 3:

The winners of the High Matches and will play in the ROund 3 High Matches, where 2 teams will secure their spot in the Final Stage. The losers from the High Matches and winners from the Low Matches will face off against each other in the Round 3 Mid Bracket to fight for another chance at qualification.
