The German esports organization, BIG has announced the addition of Rigon “rigoN” Gashi to the Counter-Strike roster.

He will replace David “prosus” Hesse, who was promoted from BIG Academy and spent a year with the roster.

The Swiss-Kosovan entry fragger joins the teams after his two-year long stint with Bad News Eagle, which later became Guild Eagles. The Kosovan roster sent shockwaves across the Counter-Strike world for their strong major performances at the last three Counter-Strike: Global Offensive majors.

Unfortunately, they did not find any notable success in Counter-Strike 2 and the roster was disbanded in May, 2024.

BIG themselves haven’t had any major success in Counter-Strike. Despite the organizations’ rich history in Counter-Strike esports, they have been struggling to find their footing in Counter-Strike 2. The team’s last significant result came at CCT Season 1 Online finals in 2023 where they defeated Aurora gaming.

With the roster change, the team will be looking to get rejuvenated and aim for the top spot once again.

“We are pleased to welcome Rigon ‘rigoN’ Gashi to our roster. We believe a change was necessary to improve our consistency and performance in the second half of 2024. We are confident that his experience and skills will help us achieve our goals for the rest of the year. We also express our heartfelt thanks to David ‘prosus’ Hesse for his dedication and efforts over the past year.”

- Roman “Roman R.” Reinhardt, Chief Gaming Officer, BIG

BIG will be rigoN’s first team after the disbandment of Guild Eagles.

“Joining BIG is a significant milestone in my career. I am excited to be part of a team with such a strong legacy in the German Counter-Strike scene. My goal is to contribute to the team’s success and help us achieve new heights in the CS2 era. I can’t wait to start competing with my new teammates and show what we can accomplish together.”

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
