This new 7.33 patch has altered the course of the Berlin Major and the play style of the teams. Many top teams are struggling to figure out the meta, while others are slowly crawling out of the cracks. The Eastern Europe region is starting to show some promise, and it is not just Team Spirit. 9Pandas and BetBoom Team are also part of the top 4 teams in their groups. Eastern EU and South America are the only regions that have their teams out of elimination. With just two more days of Groups, it will be tough for the last three teams to make it to the playoffs.

Group A

9Pandas Vs. PSG.LGD

The 9Pandas team has been portraying some strong Dota in the Berlin Major. This series was a 2-0 victory for the European team. In Game 1, kiyotaka won his midlane. He dominated the rest of the game, giving space for his carry to get all the free farm. Even though NothingToSay did an excellent job of picking off the enemy, the rest of the team could not keep up with the pace. Game 2 ended much faster with an Alchemist draft for Pandas.

Evil Geniuses Vs. BetBoom Team

EG was able to tie this series. In game 1 BetBoom went with a tanky draft making it almost impossible to EG to make any moves. With a score of 35-9, BetBoom ended the game at 30 minutes.

Game 2 was the opposite, EG hit harder than they received in Game 1. With a team-fight heavy draft, EG was able to win this game.

Group B

Tundra Esports Vs. OG

Both these teams are having a good run at the Berlin Major, unlike the last Tour. Especially OG playing with two stand-ins is doing well which is surprising. This temporary roster is bonding well, and their playstyles seem to sync. In Game 1, Nine stole the show on his carry Dragon Knight. But that was only buying time for their real carry, Medusa to reach critical mass. As usual, Tundra dragged the game to 49 minutes before closing it out.

Game 2 was a bit faster, with bzm on his famous Invoker. Both Invoker and Alchemist died only once in this game, and MinD_ContRoL had 0 deaths.

Talon Esports Vs. Team SMG

Talon Esports does not look disciplined during the groups. This was the first series the team has won in this tournament. They can win against their region but are struggling against others. Winning this series did not do much for Talon, as they only dragged SMG to the bottom. But unlike SMG, Talon has three more series to go, while SMG has only two. The road ahead is tough, but Talon has a better chance of making a comeback, provided they win every game after this.

Eliminations

South East Asia might be the first region eliminated from the tournament. Surprisingly, Team Liquid, one of the favorites is also on the list for elimination along with TSM and IG.
