The Bali Major has had a crazy day 1 of the Upper Bracket series of Matches. Three out of the four series went all the way with 2-1 victories. And the game that didn't, well, was crazier. While Liquid and the Gladiators are at the top of the DPC, Quest Esports is slowly but steadily making their way to the Top 12. But let's talk about the present Bali Major.

Upper bracket

Liquid Vs. PSG.LGD

This series went the way of Team Liquid. PSG.LGD put up a good fight, but it was not enough. They extended the first game until 55 minutes, but with both teams having late-game potential, Liquid came out victorious.

BetBoom Team Vs. Tundra Esports

Game 1

BetBoom won the game with just a better draft. With a carry BroodMother, Nightfall made a good choice by purchasing a 16-minute BKB. This forced Tundra to focus on other heroes or use Lasso & Roar on Brood. Either way, Brood had a free game and ended up being unkillable. Tundra tapped out at 35 mins after a brutal 8 to 26 kill score.

Game 2

Now this was an exhausting, nerve-wracking game for both teams. With a 1 hour and 44 mins in-game time, both teams deserve praise after that. A total of eight Divine Rapiers were purchased in this game, and seven belonged to Gpk! Tundra had the upper hand this game, with BetBoom having lost their barracks. BetBoom, on the other hand, had no way of entering Tundra's base. Nine stole Proximity Mines from Save- on his Rubick and created a minefield. Seven Roshans and 8 Rapiers later, along with a DD rune and a sacrifice from Clockwerk, BetBoom ended the game.

Gaimin Gladiators Vs. Beastcoast

Game 1

Beastcoast dominated GG in game 1. They saw through the Gladiators' draft and picked Meepo immediately without hesitation. GG was always the team with early rotations, but Beastcoast were able to counter them. Quinn had no time to react to the constant lockdown coming from Meepo and his Rod of Atos rush. Game 1 ended, favoring Beastcoast with a 38-8 kill score.

Games 2 & 3

Gaimin Gladiators won both these games with a reverse sweep. They went back to the basics, picking heroes, which helped them win four Tier 1 tournaments back to back. With the Leshrac & IO combo, the Gladiators' made a comeback. Dyrachyo managed to stay unkillable in Game 2 with nine kills. Seleri was always there to save and heal the team in fights, which led the team to focus on dishing out damage.

In Game 3, Dyrachyo got Lifestealer, one of his favorite heroes. He had no problem forcing fights and chasing Beastcoast back to their base. Parker didn't have much impact in both games as a result of constantly being run down by GG's heroes.
