Shopify Rebellion sent their star carry player, Artour "Arteezy" Babaev for a post-game interview, after an impressive 1-1 tie with the International 11 champions.

In a quick discussion with Neal "Tsunami" Khandheria at Riyadh Masters 2023, Arteezy shared his thoughts on the latest patch, his feelings towards Tormentors, and who he wants to play against in the main stage.

Arteezy: " I still can't figure out if it's ever worth it to kill Tormentor"

Tormentor
Tormentors are a key objective added in patch 7.33.

Dota 2 patch 7.33 added a lot of new concepts to the game, as well as significant revamps to old mechanics and hero reworks.

Even professional players needed time to adjust to the new patch, and not all the changes were embraced, as Arteezy discussed two things he dislikes about the New Frontier update.

"I thought the most annoying change, it was not even the BKB, it was how magic resistance is calculated. Like the effect of a Pipe or how when you get more int, you get more magic resistance. It just feels not very balanced, so I didn't think BKB also needed to be nerfed at the time. I think there are a lot of things that need fine-tuning."

Due to the change in magic resistance, Dota 2 has become more team-oriented than ever, as both sides attempt to build as many aura items as possible. But that's not the only change that Shopify's carry isn't a fan of.

A big objective added in patch 7.33 was the Tormentor, a powerful neutral creep that blesses one player with an Aghanim's Shard upgrade. Tormentors have claimed several lives at Riyadh Masters 2023 and Arteezy personally isn't a fan of the neutral creep, "I still really hate this Tormentor thing. I find it so weird that it exists, I still can't figure out if it's ever worth it to kill it or not."

Arteezy: "I'll dodge Quinn till the end hopefully."

Shopify Rebellion is currently 3-5 in the group stage and needs to make it to the top six in their group to qualify for playoffs. The team has three more matches in order to improve their score and guarantee a spot in the playoffs.

When asked about which team he would like to play against on the main stage, Arteezy had a couple of squads he had in mind, ""I think BetBoom is a fun match, because we used to be on a team together, me and Egor ["Nightfall" Grigorenko]. So I find it always exciting to play against him. I would probably say BetBoom or Liquid."

If there is one team everyone wants to avoid, it's Gaimin Gladiators, who managed to win five consecutive major International tournaments this year. Arteezy is no different, admitting he'd rather avoid Quinn "Quinn" Callahan as long as possible, "I'll dodge Quinn till the end hopefully," joked Arteezy.
