What is Valorant?

Valorant is a first-person hero shooter for Microsoft Windows, developed and published by Riot Games. The game was originally announced at ECTS 2018 in May of 2018, as an "online multiplayer FPS" set in a futuristic universe, with a unique take on the genre, as well as a "unique take on the hero shooter genre". The first game under the code name of Project A was released as a closed beta in October 2019, but was only open to a few people. The game is finally being released as of June 2, 2020. There are two teams of 5 players with unique abilities and skills, including different movement patterns and combat styles. In Overwatch, Counter-Strike, and League of Legends, there are a number of heroes who specialize in escaping from enemies and killing them by firing rockets at their position.

How Valorant is played

Every player can play online against anyone at any time. The team with the most points wins the game. You can choose your in-game characters called agents in the start of the game. There are two stages in the game. At the start of each round, you will choose an agent to represent you. Each Agent comes with an ability that varies from healing allies to making walls appear out of nowhere. The Valorant's skill-set borrows heavily from MOBA titles such as League of Legends, Dota 2, and Smite, and will require a Note, however, that you'll need to buy some abilities at the beginning of a round.

The rules in Valorant Esports

Before you enter your first round, you get to pick from a group of Agents, each with their own role and special skills designed to work alongside each other toward a win. Each round, you'll choose your Agent(s) from those you've selected at the beginning of the round.

Start a round as either an attacker or defender, then switch to the other side. You can also purchase your weapons and abilities in two ways. First, you'll need to purchase the different weapons and skills as separate packages, then you can equip them on your avatar. Or, you can click on the gear icon on the bottom of the screen and purchase the items you want directly from there.

If you know what to pick, style is the determining factor of your success. It's a good idea to think about which teams you want to be associated with so that your choices will go as planned and you'll be able to make the best possible picks for your team.

Each map is a different level in the style of your enemies. Get creative with your weapons and use their different parts to get the most out of each encounter.

Valorant Game Development Studio

In September of 2006, two college roommates, Brandon Beck and Mark Merrill, came up with the idea to create a company that didn't just continually improve on a game that had already been released, but instead, to continuously improve on an existing game.

Riot Games was majority-acquired by Tencent in February 2011 and fully acquired in December 2015. As of May 2018, Riot Games operates 24 offices around the world, in which it employs 2,500 staff members. Riot Games is best known for League of Legends, a multi-player online battle arena game, and its flagship product. VALORANT is the company's second intellectual property developed, and was released in Summer 2020.

What is so fun about Valorant?

The game receives constant praised for its mechanics, its economy, and the balance between individual playmaking and the need for teamwork. Valorant is a shooter that's drawing comparisons to CS:GO, which is very intentional of Riot Games. You play as one of a set of Agents, with characters designed based on several countries and cultures around the world, and you'll need to outwit, outplay, and outshine your competition with tactical abilities in order to win.

Agents have unique abilities, each requiring charges, as well as a unique ultimate ability that requires charging through kills, deaths, orbs, or objectives. Every player starts each round with a "classic" pistol and one or more "signature ability" charges. Other weapons and ability charges can be purchased using an in-game economic system that awards money based on the outcome of the previous round and kills the player is responsible for, and any objectives completed.

How many maps and agents are there?

Valorant is a tactical shooter game with lots of unique battlefields and characters to choose from. The game's first three maps are called “Ascent,” “Bind,” and “Haven. Some of the maps have unique points of interest and challenging layouts. The current plan for Riot's next patch is to have more maps, Agents and other updates in the future. No one knows what's going on right now with the Riot, but it's probably a good idea to wait until they officially announce it. Depending on their strategy, Riot may either offer it for free or charge money for it. Like with Apex legends, it may even be tied to how many points you have in your account. Every map in Valorant is designed to help you achieve your purpose, no matter where you're playing. In any fight, you always have a choice—whether to try and disarm your enemy's bombs or attack them with a bomb of your own. In the game, the agents are in one of four classes, each of which grants related abilities. It's the front line for the Duelist class, which includes Jett, Phoenix, Raze, and Reyna.

What are the Valorant system requirements?

Valorant, like most other shooters, has low system specs. No matter what type of gaming rig you're using, the newer systems will provide the same frame rate of 144+ fps. They have better graphics and physics than older games and are able to handle more detailed game mechanics. You'll want an older system so it can run the game at its maximum speed. We don't know for sure what resolution and graphical quality the specs are based on, so you may have to lower your quality or resolution if you have an older system.
