Vitality dominates PARIVISION to Win PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026

The Grand Final at the 2026 PGL Cluj-Napoca ended with the result everyone was already expecting. Team Vitality showed everyone exactly why they hold the number one spot in the world rankings. They took down PARIVISION with a convincing 3-0 scoreline to secure the trophy.

It was a tough reality check for the CIS squad. They came into Sunday riding high on confidence, but Vitality brought them straight back down to earth in this best of five series.

Things got close right out of the gate

PARIVISION had a fantastic run to get to this point. Their slow and methodical approach caught several top teams completely off guard during the playoffs. The series kicked off on Overpass, a map picked by Vitality, and things got incredibly close right away. Dzhami "Jame" Ali got his system working properly from the start. His reads on the map were spot on, and the first half ended with a narrow 7 to 5 lead for the favorites.

After the side switch, PARIVISION responded with an aggressive offense that made the French powerhouse sweat. But Dan "apEX" Madesclaire kept his team focused. William "mezii" Merriman stepped up with crucial impact frags to shut down the executes. Vitality managed to close the first map 13 to 10. It left the challengers knowing they could bleed the giants, but they still fell short.

Then came the ultimate shutdown

Just when things looked competitive, Map two took us to Dust2. This was supposed to be the playground for PARIVISION as their map pick. Instead, it turned into an absolute nightmare. Vitality clearly took their opponent's confidence personally. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut held down the map with terrifying precision. Whenever the offensive players tried to avoid his sniper rifle, they ran straight into a solid defense on the bomb sites.

The international roster traded kills effortlessly and gave up zero space. The defense was so punishing that PARIVISION only found three rounds in the first half. Shahar "flameZ" Shushan started finding aggressive openings everywhere he went, finishing the series with an impressive 54 kills overall. Vitality steamrolled them 13-4. It highlighted the sheer difference in individual firepower between the two teams.

Taking it to the absolute limit

By the time they loaded into Inferno for the third map, the energy could have easily vanished from the PARIVISION camp. But they were not going down without a fight. The underdog squad actually took a 7 to 5 lead into halftime. Ivan "zweih" Gogin and Andrey "BELCHONOKK" Yasinskiy delivered massive plays to keep the dream alive. The game turned into a total brawl with multiple low buy rounds deciding the economy.

Both teams traded rounds back and forth until Vitality reached match point. However, PARIVISION managed to push the game into overtime. For a second there, the crowd thought we were in for a long and exhausting night. The momentum had clearly shifted. But champions do not panic. Robin "ropz" Kool anchored the sites with robotic efficiency. Vitality gave up just one round in overtime and locked out the map 16 to 13.

Another year of domination?

This loss definitely stings for PARIVISION. They made it to a massive final, and reality hit hard on the biggest day. But they proved they can hang with the big names if they dictate the pace of the game. They have a solid foundation to build upon for the rest of the year.

For Vitality, this victory just confirms they are still the final bosses of Counter-Strike. They do not rely on just one superstar player to bail them out of tough spots anymore. Every single member of the roster can completely take over a server on any given day. The level of coordination Vitality displayed sets a terrifying standard for the 2026 season. Now the rest of the competitive scene has to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to even make them sweat.
