ScreaM Is Back: CS2's "Headshot Machine" Returns After Seven-Year Absence

Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom is officially back in competitive Counter-Strike. The Belgian legend has been signed by Clutchain, marking his return to the professional scene seven years after his last competitive appearance with GamerLegion in 2019. ScreaM had teased the comeback at the HLTV Awards Show 2025 in January, and the 31-year-old has now made it official.

A Franco-Belgian Roster Built Around Familiar Faces

On his new Clutchain side, ScreaM joins a few recognizable names from the French-speaking subtop. The roster includes:

The reunion with Nivera adds a personal dimension to the signing, as the brothers previously played together under Team Liquid's VALORANT roster during the 2022 season, before both moved to Karmine Corp and eventually retired from competitive VALORANT in March 2024.

The Long Road Back

ScreaM's return to CS2 didn't happen overnight. In 2025, he joined FUT Esports as a sixth-man and streamer alongside the organization's short-lived French lineup, using the role to ease back into competitive shape. Since then, he has been grinding smaller French events and streaming regularly, steadily building back the form that once made him one of the most electrifying fraggers in Counter-Strike history.

The Clutchain organization has been actively expanding its CS2 footprint as well. Alongside this signing, the org also picked up the former Imperial Female/Pigeons roster in early April, signaling genuine ambitions in the tier-2 space.

Eyes on Prague

ScreaM and his new teammates have already hit the ground running. Clutchain won the Conquest of Prague 2026: European Open Qualifier #2, securing a spot in the Online Stage. They will make their official debut on April 12th, where they'll face established tier-2 outfits including EYEBALLERS, ECSTATIC, and Fnatic, making it a proper test of whether the "Headshot Machine" still has what it takes.
