As fans eagerly await the return of Arcane - Riot Games' critically acclaimed animated series - Season 2's new trailer has finally been unveiled, preparing the fans for a grand, multi-platform celebration across all Riot Games titles.

From League of Legends to VALORANT, every game in Riot's portfolio will feature exclusive Arcane-themed content in the coming months, creating one of the biggest cross-title experiences even seen, bringing the world of Piltover and Zaun closer than ever.

Arcane universe coming to life across Riot’s games

Riot Games is blending the stories and characters of Arcane with its entire gaming ecosystem, making this launch one of the most ambitious ever seen in the gaming ecosystem. As Arcane Season 2 prepares to dig deeper into the conflict between Piltover’s elite and Zaun’s underworld, Riot’s games will allow players to step into that world in new and meaningful ways:

League of Legends

Arcane's impact on League of Legends goes beyond skins and cosmetics - this season, it brings a new sense of narrative immersion to the MOBA. Fans of the show will immediately recognize Ambessa Medarda, the powerful and cunning Noxian general introduced as Mel’s mother in Season 1.

Ambessa’s presence in League will be felt as she becomes a playable character, representing the complexities of Noxus’ military might within Runeterra. In addition, Jinx, Arcane’s emotionally complex antihero, will receive a new Exalted-tier skin—an entirely new skin tier—letting players experience her story in-game with unprecedented detail and visual flair.

But that’s not all—an Arcane-themed update to the ARAM (All Random All Mid) game mode will allow players to battle on the iconic Bridge of Progress, adding a touch of narrative context to the all-out chaos of this fan-favorite mode. In addition, League will feature new cosmetics, including an Arcane Brawler Vi skin (as seen in the Season 2 trailer) and a Jinx-themed Nexus Finisher, offering a personalized flourish to those hard-earned victories.

Wild Rift

Riot’s mobile version of League of Legends, has been steadily growing its player base, and now, the game is about to undergo its own Arcane-inspired transformation. Beloved champions Singed and Warwick will receive significant gameplay updates, enhancing their kits to better align with the lore-rich characters depicted in Arcane.

Heimerdinger, the eccentric Yordle inventor who has been a pivotal figure in both Piltover and Zaun’s histories, is already available in Wild Rift, and his presence ties deeply into the ongoing Arcane storyline.

VALORANT

Arcane’s influence even extends to VALORANT, Riot’s tactical shooter. Soon, players will be able to arm their agents with a brand-new Arcane-themed bundle, bringing the gritty world of Zaun into the high-stakes, fast-paced gunfights of VALORANT. This bundle will not only include weapon skins but is also expected to add visual elements and animations that evoke the high-tech-meets-dystopia aesthetic of Arcane’s conflict.

Teamfight Tactics: Set 13 goes full arcane

Teamfight Tactics (TFT), Riot’s breakout auto-battler, will go all-out in celebration of Arcane Season 2 with its upcoming Set 13, which brings Arcane-inspired mechanics, traits, and champions directly into the game. Fans will be thrilled to see Powder, Jinx’s younger self, joining the TFT roster alongside other champions integral to Arcane’s world. This set not only introduces new gameplay elements but also reshapes the meta to reflect the duality and tension found in the show’s narrative.

In addition to these game-altering mechanics, TFT will launch a collection of Arcane-themed cosmetics, from new arenas designed to evoke the visual style of Piltover and Zaun, to fresh Tacticians like the adorable Chibi Caitlyn. Riot has promised even more cosmetics and in-game surprises to come throughout the year, teasing additional Easter eggs for Arcane fans.

For new and returning players, the PvE mode Tocker’s Trials will also make a return. This experimental mode provides a low-pressure environment to help players learn or re-learn TFT’s intricacies, while still incorporating the vibrant and evolving world of Arcane into the experience.

Legends of Runeterra

In Legends of Runeterra, the popular digital card game, Arcane’s story will continue to unfold through the addition of Ambessa Medarda and Warwick to the game’s Path of Champions mode. This addition gives players a chance to explore new strategies and synergies, while also tying directly into the show’s character arcs. With these new champions, the Arcane narrative will become even more immersive for card-game enthusiasts, further entwining the game’s evolving meta with its storytelling.

Jinx’s Return to 2XKO

Riot Games is also gearing up for the eventual launch of its fighting game, 2XKO, which is expected to arrive in 2025. On November 11, fans will get an updated look at Jinx’s role in the fighting game. With her unhinged personality and volatile energy, Jinx will no doubt add a unique flavor to the 2XKO roster, setting the stage for explosive combat that mirrors her unpredictability in both League of Legends and Arcane.

Arcane-Themed merchandise

As Riot continues to blur the lines between gaming, storytelling, and pop culture, Arcane will also manifest in real-world merchandise in the lead-up to its premiere. Fans can look forward to an array of makeup products from Fenty Beauty, apparel collaborations with Uniqlo and BlackMilk, and collectibles from Funko and Tokidoki, just to name a few. This expansion into physical goods is designed to extend Arcane’s influence beyond the screen and into everyday life, giving fans a tangible connection to the world of Runeterra.

The return of Arcane on Netflix

Arcane Season 2 will premiere on Netflix on November 9th, unfolding in three distinct acts. With Act One kicking off on November 9, Act Two following on November 16, and Act Three concluding the season on November 23, fans will once again see the richly animated, emotionally charged world that made Season 1 a global sensation.

Created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, and brought to life by the exceptional team at Fortiche Production, Season 2 promises to elevate everything that made the first season groundbreaking—immersive storytelling, beautiful animation, and unforgettable music.

The trailer for Season 2 features “Come Play,” the second single from the Arcane Season 2 soundtrack, performed by Stray Kids, Young Miko, and Tom Morello. This collaboration reflects Arcane’s tradition of combining innovative music with its compelling narrative, as seen in the first season’s Grammy-nominated soundtrack.

A word from the creators

Reflecting on Arcane’s massive success and the upcoming Season 2, Marc Merrill, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Riot Games, expressed the team’s excitement:

"Teams at Riot have worked closely together to try to make the launch of Arcane a moment that can be enjoyed across all of our games. We can’t wait to see what you all think of the show and everything else we have coming."

Likewise, Christian Linke, Co-Creator and Showrunner of Arcane, spoke about the show’s expanded vision:

"Arcane's first season gave us an exciting opportunity to deepen the world of Runeterra through expanding on our storytelling, Fortiche’s stunning animation, music, and a few easter eggs for dedicated League fans. Season 2 will bring you even deeper into the world."

Arcane: A cultural milestone in Animation and Gaming

Arcane’s first season redefined the potential for game-based narratives, capturing the attention of both gamers and general audiences alike. It not only earned prestigious awards like the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program but also established Riot Games as a leading voice in the entertainment industry. Now, with Arcane Season 2 and the new cross-game event, Riot is once again pushing the boundaries of what a multimedia franchise can achieve.

As the premiere date approaches, the world of Arcane is set to dominate screens, consoles, and mobile devices everywhere, weaving together a rich tapestry of games, stories, and culture. Doesn't matter if you’re a League of Legends player, a tactical mastermind in TFT, or simply an Arcane fan, the world of Runeterra is about to become even more immersive, dynamic, and unforgettable.
