Perfect World has officially announced the opening matchups for the Shanghai Major RMRs. The matchups were determined based on Valve’s latest Regional Standings update, released on October 15, and follows the Major's supplemental rulebook.

Fans in Europe looking to catch the RMR action, especially for the Europe and Americas regions, will have set their alarms at sunrise, as the opening matches will begin at 6:00 AM CET. The first Asia RMR, however, will start at 10:00 AM CET.

In addition, Perfect World confirmed that ticket information for the Shanghai Major will be announced shortly.

Schedule & Format:

The RMRs will run from November 11-24, beginning with the Asia region and concluding with Europe. The formats differ slightly between the regions:

  • Europe & Americas: Both regions will use a 16-team BO1 Swiss System format for initial matches, with progression and elimination matches played as BO3s.
  • Asia: The Asian RMR will follow an eight-team, double-elimination bracket, where only the opening matches will be BO1.

Team Qualification:

  • Europe RMRs: 14 teams will advance to the Major.
    • The top 8 (four each from EU A and EU B) teams will qualify directly for the Elimination Stage.
    • The remaining teams will start in the Opening Stage.
  • America's RMR: 7 teams will progress.
  • Asia RMR: 3 teams will move on.
