In a surprising twist, Thomas “Thomas” Utting disclosed that his organization, 5W Gaming, has abruptly cut ties and ceased all communication with their players.

According to Thomas, the Indian organization allegedly deceived the team after a month of hard work. They purportedly paid several players upfront to secure their contracts, only to vanish without a trace and dismiss their General Manager.

Initially, 5W, a newly established esports organization based in Bangalore, India, had signed the international roster featuring Thomas alongside Joel "joel" Holmlund. In addition to former Monte player Hristiyan "REDSTAR" Pironkov, Deyvid "h4rn" Benchev, and Luca "pr1metapz" Voigt.

Thomas expressed frustration at this sudden turn of events in a post on X. Indicating his team's readiness to find a new organization and reclaim their prowess on LAN.

It's noteworthy that one of their players, "joel," received a seven-month ban from ESIC on November 30, 2023, for placing bets on matches he was actively participating in.

  1. Between the period of 27 March 2023 to 28 March 2023. Mr. Holmlund placed bets on matches he was playing in;
  2. On 31 March 2023, Mr. Holmlund placed two bets against his own team in one match.
  3. Between the period of 29 March 2023 to 1 May 2023. Mr. Holmlund proceeded to place 17 bets on various CS:GO matches.

As of now, there has been no statement from the organization regarding the situation. As it’s unlikely to hear anything from their side.

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
