The second season of Counter-Strike Premier comes to an end next week, July 14. Similar to season 1, players who competed and grinded the mode will receive a commemorative medal to conclude the season.

How to Get the Premier Season 2 Medal?

Similar to the Premier season 1, the new medal will be awarded if you fulfill the following conditions;

  • Have a Prime-enabled account
  • Win 25 Premier games
  • Have an active Premier rating

The color of the medal will correspond to your highest CS Rating achieved during the season, and the bars will reflect your total wins, with one bar for every 25—up to five bars.

Clicking on the medal will present you with the personalized stats for the season.

What to Expect with Premier Season 3?

For starters, a rank reset is on the horizon. While the season 2 rating will be used, players have to win 10 games for a visible season 3 rating.

Additionally, a map pool change is expected with the start of Season 3. The possible returning candidates include Cobblestone and Cache. Vertigo has also been revamped in Counter-Strike 2 and there is a possibility of its return.

There is currently no information on the maps leaving the pool. However, Mirage and Dust 2 have been active the longest and are likely contenders to be replaced.

With the current state of the game favoring the T-side heavily, balancing changes might be coming with the new season. Lastly, an armory overhaul might be in works too.

To a Bright Future?

While plagued with cheaters, the conclusion of the second season within six months followed by a sizable update with fresh content will set a good precedent for the future of Counter-Strike. Especially an update on VAC will bring back the big chunk fans that have left after the frustrating state of the game at higher levels.

If the update delivers as hard as the recent stickers and charms have, a bright Counter-Strike-filled future awaits us!!

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
