Ahead of the new Counter-strike season, The Swedish esports organisation, Fnatic is starting to make roster changes. Yesterday, the team decided to bench Awper Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi. Nicoodoz made a name for himself going toe to toe against some of the best awpers in the game. He has decided to take a short break to think about the future and will come back once he has decided on the next career path.

Fnatic and nicoodoz:

The Danish AWPer started his journey in a lesser known Lebanese team Ground Zero in 2016, later joining 9ine in 2020. But nicoodoz’s big break came with Copenhagen flames where he met fellow Dane roeJ. Together with roeJ, nicoodoz made a name for himself, winning multiple tier 2 events. Fnatic realised the duo’s talent and acquired them from Copenhagen Flames in 2022.

With Fnatic, nicoodoz had some decent runs in tier 1 and tier 2 events. They qualified for the Rio Major 2022. At the Major, they defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas and BIG to qualify for the Champions stage. Unfortunately, they lost to the eventual champions in the first round of the Champions stage. The major run was the team’s best in 2022 and 2023.

With disappointing results, Fnatic decided to make changes, they let go of FASHR and now nicoodoz. Nicoodoz addressed the roster move in the tweet and wrote the following:

“Thanks for everything, amazing organisation with even more amazing people behind it!

Parting ways with @roeJcsgo after playing for over 2 years together is sad, but im sure he is gonna do great <3

Taking some time, and then ill be back very soon”

Fnatic is currently eyeing French upcomer Afro, formerly HEET LDLC for the spot. The team will be looking to build a strong foundation before CS2 debuts.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
