North American Esports organization Evil Geniuses, has announced its revamped Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) roster ahead of the fall season. The team has made significant changes, including the addition of four talented players from their academy team, EG Black, alongside the experienced Timothy "autimatic" Ta. With this new lineup, Evil Geniuses aims to solidify its presence in the competitive CS:GO scene.

The Roster Changes:

Joining autimatic on the main roster are Jadan "HexT" Postma, Colby "Walco" Walsh, Paytyn "junior" Johnson, and Jeorge "Jeorge" Endicott. To support the team's growth and development, Tommy "Axed" Ryan has been appointed as the coach, bringing his expertise and strategic insights to the table. Additionally, William "RUSH" Wierzba joins as a substitute, ready to contribute whenever needed.

This announcement comes after the organization allowed several players, including Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte, Jerric "wiz" Jiang, Ismail "refrezh" Ali, and Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov, to explore new opportunities elsewhere. Evil Geniuses' decision to promote talent from within their ranks aligns with their commitment to nurturing young players and building a strong foundation for the future.

Trials and Errors:

Evil Geniuses initially explored international options during their rebuilding phase, engaging in discussions with notable players such as Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko, Audric "JACKZ" Jug, and Denis "electroNic" Sharipov. However, these negotiations ultimately fell through, leading the organization to prioritize the promotion of their academy roster. This decision is in line with a report by Dust2.us published on June 22, which indicated the organization's intention to focus on internal talent development and prepare for the upcoming fall season.

While the new-look Evil Geniuses roster lacks experience at the tier-one level, the team's potential should not be underestimated. Although they have only participated in two LAN events, with ESL Challenger Melbourne being their sole international appearance where they finished at the bottom, their inclusion as a partner team with BLAST and ESL ensures invitations to prestigious tournaments. This includes the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Groups in July and ESL Pro League Season 18 from August to October. These opportunities will provide the players with valuable exposure and the chance to prove themselves on a larger stage.

The Future:

With less than three weeks to prepare, the team is gearing up for their debut as Evil Geniuses' main roster at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups in Denmark. Which is scheduled for July 13-23. The event will serve as a critical test for the newly formed lineup. As they will face tough competition from established teams.

Evil Geniuses head into the fall season with the following starting roster:

The CS:GO community eagerly anticipates the release of Counter-Strike 2 later in the summer. And Evil Geniuses' latest roster represents a promising blend of experienced leadership and young talent. Fans and analysts will be watching closely to see how this new lineup fares. And whether they can establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the ever-evolving world of competitive CS:GO.
