BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 Grand Finals: Vitality and NAVI Are Ready to Settle It

BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 Grand Finals: Vitality and NAVI Are Ready to Settle It

The 2026 BLAST Open Spring Rotterdam is reaching its climax, and the stage could not be set any better. On March 29, Team Vitality and Natus Vincere will face each other in the Grand Final, with $400,000 and a massive chunk of BLAST Premier circuit points on the line. Two heavyweights, two different stories to get here, and one trophy to claim.

Vitality's march has been relentless

If there was any doubt that Team Vitality is still the team to beat in CS2, this tournament has put it to rest. They arrived in Rotterdam as the world's absolute #1 and they have played like it every single step of the way.

A clean 2-0 sweep over PARIVISION in the Group B Upper Bracket Finals, 13-9 on Mirage and 16-12 on Inferno, was clinical. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was simply on another planet, dropping 45 kills across the series and reminding everyone why he is the best player on the planet.

Then came the semifinals, where they dispatched Aurora Gaming 2-0, with Shahar "flameZ" Shushan stepping up as the series MVP.

Ten wins in their last ten matches. This team is not slowing down for anyone.

NAVI's revival is real

Natus Vincere came into the event with everything to prove, and their run in Rotterdam really showed it.

They punished Aurora Gaming 2-0 in the Group A Upper Bracket Finals, 13-8 on Anubis and 13-10 on a tense Nuke, with Drin "makazze" Shaqiri tearing through the opposition with 37 kills and Ivan "iM" Mihai orchestrating plays with 19 assists across the series.

NAVI then closed out PARIVISION in the semifinals to punch their ticket to the final.

Eight wins from their last ten matches, a squad firing on all cylinders. This is not a NAVI that is here just to make up the numbers.

The players who could decide it all

Every great final has its defining moments, and those moments usually come down to individuals. For Vitality, all eyes fall on ZywOo, the reigning PC Player of the Year who has already looked unstoppable in Rotterdam. Dan "apEX" Madesclaire and Shahar "flameZ" Shushan have been just as crucial, providing the support system that turns ZywOo's brilliance into consistent victories.

On the NAVI side, makazze has been the standout performer, and Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov's AWP mastery gives the squad a weapon that can shut down entire sites before the opposition even reacts. Whoever controls the pace of the maps will likely control the series.

A clash that goes beyond Rotterdam

This matchup carries weight that stretches far beyond one weekend. Vitality and NAVI are two of the most storied organizations in Counter-Strike history, and every time these rosters meet, the narrative writes itself.

Vitality have been in dynasty mode, historically dominant and winning tournament after tournament. NAVI, on the other hand, are a team on the rise, hungry to prove they belong at the very top again after rebuilding their roster.

For Vitality, this is about extending their era. For NAVI, this is about restarting theirs.
