Not too long ago, Astralis' Counter-Strike division acquired Staehr. Now, the Danish esports organization has acquired b0rup. The new duo will replace the long-term members gla1ve and Xyp9x on the roster. With the move, only Dev1ce from the original roster remains. The current roster features blameF, Buzz and dev1ce in addition to the new additions.

gla1ve - Xyp9x legacy:

gla1ve joined the dev1ce-xyp9x-dupreeh trio after Karrigan was let go. The young IGL had to fill the shoes of one of the biggest Danish brains, and he did. With Astralis, Gla1ve rose to prominence. The team became the definition of a perfected Counter-strike.

The team had everything, A young talent in Kjaerbye, Clutch minister Xyp9x, A solid entry in Dupreeh, a strong IGL in Gla1ve and a stable and strong AWP in Dev1ce. When Kjaebye left them, Astralis bounced back with Magisk and became unbeatable. All the astralis players were stars and shone brightly under Gla1ve's leadership. Xyp9x stayed the team's backbone.

But the COVID and Online era took a toll on the team. The team broke apart, and now the final strands of the original roster fall. With only Dev1ce staying, the og Astralis is done.

The New Blood:

Staehr and b0rup are talented Danish players. Staehr is pretty new, but b0rup has been around for a while. b0rup was a key piece in Heroic's early-day success in 2020. He was later let go from the team. He later played with Copenhagen Flames until the team was dissolved. Staehr started his career in 2020 and recently had been playing with Sprout since July 2022. The new faces will surely add much-needed firepower to Astralis.

Both dev1ce, gla1ve and Xyp9x have expressed their opinions on Twitter:

Coming into the new season, Astralis Counter-Strike will look as follows:

  • Nicolai "Dev1ce" Reedtz
  • Benjamin "BlameF" Bremer
  • Christian "Buzz" Anderson
  • Victor "Staehr" Staehr
  • Johannes "b0rup" Borup

CS2 Major Revenue Share Changes Are Pushing Organizations Away from Counter-Strike

Valve’s new CS2 Major revenue share ties sticker income to VRS and final placement, removing capsule‑style payouts and concentrating money among top finishers. The result: higher volatility for clubs that relied on sticker cheques, early roster cuts like Gaimin Gladiators, and a narrower field of sustainable CS2 organizations unless the payout model changes.
