The first week of the 2025 LEC Spring has come and gone, and fans have been treated to some top tier League of Legends. While the teams try and figure each other out during this first set of games while trying to get hold of the meta, who have been the players that stood out the most?

Here's our picks for the three players of the week at the LEC Spring Week 1. These choices take into account individual game performance, the level of the competition, and the players' influence on their teams' wins.

Players of the Week

VIT Czajek

The best, and simplest, way to illustrate Czajek's showing in Week 1 is to take a look at the numbers. Over the course of Team Vitality's two games, the rookie mid laner put up a total scoreline of 7/0/18, playing a crucial role in his team's dominant win over GIANTX.

Czajek's near-flawless positioning and spacing in team fights meant the mid laner didn't die once in Week 1, while also consistently pumping out the damage. For his efforts, Czajek led all players in the LEC in both KDA and damage per minute for Week 1 after his utterly clean display against a GIANTX squad that has struggled to start the split, yet is filled with talent nonetheless.

BDS Ice

Admittedly, BDS faced one of the weakest teams in the LEC in Rogue to start the Spring Split. Despite this, it is still a testament to Ice's prowess to think Team BDS could have very easily lost their opening match if not for the South Korean ADC.

Over a competitive and bloody 2-1 victory against Rogue which saw 84 total kills secured throughout the series, Ice somehow managed to die only three times; once in each game. What's more, the ADC's showing on Jhin to close out the series gave us one of the most precise performances on the champion in recent memory, finishing the game with a 11/1/6 scoreline to drag BDS across the finish line.

During Week 1, Ice holds the number one spot among all ADC's in KDA, gold per minute, damage per minute, and kill participation. Truly, a one man army.

KC Canna

Several players can make a case for their inclusion on this list, but Canna stands out for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, Karmine Corp faced a tough opponent in Week 1 when taking on a Movistar KOI squad that pushed both LEC Winter Finalists to the limit in consecutive days.

And yet, it was Canna's remarkable mental fortitude which saw the former T1 player make this list in the end. After putting up a clean display on Gnar at the start of the series, the final game against MKOI painted a different picture for Canna as he started the game 0/4/1 after receiving all of the enemy jungler's attention in the early game.

Despite piloting a champion (Jayce) that craves gold to operate, Canna kept his cool throughout the game, consistently outperforming opponents in team fights to turn the story around and finish with an 8/4/5 scoreline to win the match.

In a game that often revolves around flashy plays and solo kills, its easy to miss some of League of Legends more intangible skills, yet it is precisely these which make a champion in the end.
