The kick-off event for the Official VCT League, The VCT LOCK//IN event, will be a twenty days long affair. The event features thirty-two teams, thirty partnered organizations and two invited Chinese teams. The event is less than a month away and will kick off on 13th February, with the Grand finals on 4th March. We at Strafe have already covered the event format; you can read it here.

VCT LOCK//IN Participating teams and fixtures:

The thirty partnered organizations will be the participating teams in the event. The event also features two invited Chinese teams in EDward Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix. Two groups of 16, namely Alpha and Omega, were created from the 32 teams. Each group will play amongst each other until two teams from each group are left. The groups and fixtures are as follows:

VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo Schedule:

The LOCK//IN will feature three stages;

  • Alpha match-ups: 13th - 19th February

Alpha Matches

  • Omega match-ups: 22nd - 27th February
  • Finals Stage: 2nd - 4th March
    • Two teams from each group will qualify for the finals stage
    • The Grand finals will feature one team from each group

All the matches will be BO3s except the three games in the finals stage, which would be BO5s. The event will feature a live audience on all the days, and the complete schedule for the same is as follows:
