After a few short months with the roster, T1 and Lee "k1Ng" Seung-won have decided to part ways mutually.

The decision came after the organization decided to play with iZu, Rossy, Carpe, Xccurate, and Sayaplayer as the primary five for the VCT 2024 roster.

K1Ng had a good 2023. While the results did not favor him, he was one of the best players for his former team. After spending one year in Korean Tier 2, he came back and proved he belonged to Tier 1 Valorant.

He was the only saving grace for GenG at VCT LOCK//IN and continued performing throughout the VCT Pacific for the losing side. T1 announced k1Ng alongside iZu and Xccurate.

The T1 squad shaped up well. They played together at the KCX event and TEN Global Invitational. Following the team's poor performance, Autumn, the team's Head Coach, chose Rossy and Xccurate over k1Ng and Xeta.

Today, T1 announced k1Ng's departure from the squad. The roster decision comes as the second most shocking decision of Korean Valorant in just over a week.

Not too long ago, DRX benched two of their best players, Rb and Zest, who had been with the squad for a long time.

K1Ng is one of the most prominent figures in Korean Valorant. He is a strong site-anchor with an ability to take over games. He and Xeta are well-known quantities within the Korean FPS scene. The decision to move over from both of them is shocking.

It'd be interesting to see what the future holds for k1Ng and if he finds a team for himself for the 2024 season.
