Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen is rumored to be benched for the entire LCS Summer split 2024 according to LEC Wooloo. Song "Quad" Su-hyeong, who is the mid laner for FlyQuest Challengers, is set to be promoted to the main roster in lieu of Jensen.

Who is Quad?

Quad played most of his career for DRX when he joined the organization as an academy mid laner. Since then, he was transfered to Gen.G and NS RedForce before leaving the LCK to debut in the LCS as FlyQuest's Challenger mid laner in 2024. He was originally known to be a Cassiopeia one-trick but has since evolved his champion pool to better himself as a professional player. Recently, FlyQuest Challengers in the 2024 Spring Split won the entire tournament after a 3-0 sweep against Maryville University and also finishing first in the Regular Season. In the eyes of FlyQuest, Quad's incredible performance earned him a tryout to play in the big leagues. Streamer Nick "LS" De Cesare vouched for him as well in a recent X post as well.

Jensen Benched?

FlyQuest's performance in the spring split started out on a strong note quickly making them a fan favorite. Although FlyQuest was placed first in the regular season, they came short of first place when they lost to Team Liquid in the playoff finals. They also did not break through play-ins in the MSI tournament. With the team looking worse than before, FlyQuest is likely looking for some solutions to bring them back into first place contention.

With Jensen potentially being benched and Quad to take his place, there are two questions to be asked: What will Jensen do and who will take the FlyQuest Challengers open spot? As of now, it seems Jensen will not be expected to play for FlyQuest at all in the summer split but may be able to play for another team. With MSI soon coming to a close and the Summer split beginning in a month's time, it is yet to be announced if Jensen will join another organization or temporarily break from the scene to pursue streaming, as is common with many pro players in similar situations.

Keep updated with Strafe news for any further developments on Jensen's departure.
