According to a tweet by independent reporter Brieuc "LEC Wooloo" Seeger, Korean "League of Legends" botlaner Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan has signed with FlyQuest of the League Championship Series (LCS) for Spring 2023.

The 22-year-old garnered acclaim this year as one of the best botlaners in Korea with Liiv SANDBOX from League Champions Korea (LCK). Despite the team's strong play in summer that earned them a 3rd place finish in playoffs, SANDBOX lost two series in the LCK 2022 Regional Finals vs. DWG KIA and DRX, and they blew their chances at making the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.

Prince began his career as a substitute player for the LCK's bbq Olivers and DAMWON Gaming (now known as DWG KIA) for six months and a year respectively. He also joined FunPlus Phoenix of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) for a short period of time in 2020 and 2021 as a sub.

SANDBOX announced on Nov. 21 that Prince had left the team, and Game Haus journalist Sander "LCS Eevee" Hove reported on Nov. 22 that he couldn't confirm the information but he was "90.01% sure" that Prince would join FlyQuest.

The rest of the squad

As for the rest of FlyQuest, independent journalists Travis Gafford and Wooloo have reported that Korean toplaner Jeong "Impact" Eon-young and Australian support Bill "Eyla" Nguyen have joined FlyQuest from the LCS's Team Liquid organization; Chinese jungler Mingyi "Spica" Lu has signed with FlyQuest after leaving the LCS's TSM; and Prince's fellow Korean import Lee "VicLa" Dae-kwang moved to FlyQuest from the LCK's KT Rolster. FlyQuest's general manager Christopher "PapaSmithy" Smith has indicated that Belarusian head coach Alexey "Sharkz" Taranda will stay with the team.

Barring any surprise roster moves, Prince's alleged signing means that every team in the LCS has signed a full roster of at least five players.
