The Riyadh Masters 2024 concluded with Gaimin Gladiators taking home the trophy and 1.5 million USD in prize money. If you think you might be missing some tier 1 Dota 2 action after that, the tournament organisers in China have got you covered with The Clavision: Snow Ruyi Invitational.

What is The Clavision: Snow Ruyi Invitational?

Clavision, a tournament organiser from China will host the Clavision: Snow Ruyi Invitational. It will be held at the Snow Ruyi venue in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, China. Originally, the tournament was supposed to feature twelve teams.

However, Team Secret and Nouns withdrew from the tournament, but their slots were not filled. As a result, only ten directly invited teams will be participating in the tournament. The prize pool for this tournament is 500,000 USD.

Ten teams will duke it out for a 500,000 USD prize pool at the Clavision: Snow Ruyi Invitational. You can view detailed information about the prize pool below.

The Participating Teams

Ten teams accepted their direct invites for the Clavision Snow Ruyi Invitational. Among them are some high-profile teams like Team Spirit and LGD Gaming.  The teams competing in the tournament are as follows:

Four of these direct invites will use stand-ins at the tournament. These four teams are:

  • Nigma Galaxy
  • Natus Vincere
  • Azure Ray
  • Virtus.pro

Tournament Format

The Clavision: Snow Ruyi Invitational will feature two main stages: the Group Stage and the Playoffs. It is important to note that no teams will get eliminated during the group stages according to the tournament organisers.

Additionally, the group stage will feature two groups, each consisting of five teams. All the matches played during the group stages will be best of three (Bo3). The top team from each group will advance to the upper-bracket semifinals. The second and third-placing teams will get a spot in the upper bracket, while the two remaining teams will go to the lower bracket. The group stage runs from 28th July to 30th July.

Lastly, the playoffs feature a double-elimination bracket. Thus, teams from the upper bracket will have a safety net. The lower brackets team will get eliminated if they lose a series. All the matches played during the playoffs will be Bo3s except the grand finals. The grand final series will be a best of five (Bo5). The playoffs are from 1st August to 4th August.

Schedule and Where to Watch

The Clavision: Snow Ruyi Invitational will take place from 28th July 2024 through 4th August 2024. The primary broadcast is in Chinese and is available via the Dota 2 in-game client. There are no other language options available.
