Following the success of Los Ratones, reports indicate that Doublelift will be starting a new team with former TSM bot lane partner Biofrost, as well as other prominent figures from North America, including popular streamer TF Blade.

The team, which will feature some of the biggest names in League of Legends history, appears set to take part in the upcoming NACL Open Qualifier, where they will compete for a chance at making it into the Tier-2 North American scene.

The full roster on Doublelift's new team will look as follows:

Having competed together for TSM in 2017, and then again in 2020, Doublelift and Biofrost managed to lift three LCS trophies working in tandem. Now, the bot lane partnership will be back at it once more.

The NACL: A shot at the LTA

The NACL has offered Doublelift and co. the perfect opportunity to start a new journey. The tournament will hold an Open Qualifier where the top three teams will qualify to compete in the North American Challengers League (NACL). First, though, the squad will have to go through a grueling double-elimination bracket encompassing a total of 64 teams.

If this new team filled with LCS legends manages to make it into the NACL, the journey will not end there. Once in the league, they would be able to play for a shot at the new Tier-1 Promotion Tournament, where the top NACL teams can earn a spot in the LTA.

NACL Open Qualifier Start Date

If everything works out as intended, we'll be able to watch Doublelift's new team compete as soon as the Open Qualifier starts on Sunday, March 1st. What's more, however, it appears that the team would stream also all of their scrims, emulating the success of Los Ratones over in the NLC.

The prospect of seeing Doublelift compete for a chance to make it to the LTA and play against some of the best North American players in League of Legends is an exciting one for any fan of the LCS. For now, though, it all starts with the NACL Open Qualifier.
