After failing to qualify for the European RMR, BIG has undergone a significant roster overhaul. Bidding farewell to Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski and Elias "s1n" Stein they are welcoming back Florian "syrsoN" Rische and have also signed Jon "JDC" de Castro to re-establish a full German lineup.

Disappointments and Changes

BIG's recent struggles, including an early exit from the Copenhagen Major cycle and a close defeat against Astralis in the BLAST Premier Spring Groups, have highlighted the need for change. The team seeks to regain its footing in the highly competitive CS2 scene.

The departure of mantuu, whose signing led BIG to adopt English communication, paves the way for the return of syrsoN, reinstating the team's native language dynamics. Additionally, s1n steps down to make room for JDC, a former anchor for MOUZ. This also marks a second stint at BIG for syrsoN, as he had stepped down from the roster in February of 2023.

The “New” Signings

syrsoN, a former MVP for BIG, and JDC, a seasoned player with multiple Academy League titles, inject experience and skill into the lineup. Their familiarity with the organization and each other's playstyles could provide the stability BIG needs to succeed. These new signings bring back the chemistry and communication advantages of a solely German-speaking team.

BIG's new roster now comprises of:

Elias "s1n" Stein and Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski are still under contract but have moved to an inactive role.

Goodbye Language Barriers

With the new roster in place, BIG aims to make a strong impact in upcoming tournaments and reclaim their status as contenders on the international stage. The return to German communication marks a pivotal moment in their journey. With syrsoN and JDC added into the fold, the team is poised to tackle the challenges ahead with renewed vigor and unity.
