VALORANT Patch 11.04: Sage and Chamber Buffs, Abyss Back to Competitive, Esports Store Gifts, More!
VALORANT Patch 11.04 is here with a host of changes that aim to give a fun twist to the gameplay with map rotations, agent buffs, quality-of-life improvements, and fresh opportunities for community support. Here’s what you need to know.
Sage and Chamber Buffs in VALORANT Patch 11.04
- Chamber’s Trademark: The range restriction has been lifted, allowing Chamber to place his trap with more flexibility. The previous range limit has now officially been removed to better fit modern VALORANT playstyles.
- Sage’s Abilities: Embracing her identity as a Controller-hybrid Sentinel, Sage’s Barrier Orb and Resurrection have received range increases. The Sage wall cast range has jumped from 10 meters to 15 meters, and her resurrection range has doubled from 6 meters to 12 meters. These buffs promote safer, more impactful plays from further back.

Abyss Returns, Icebox Departs
The competitive landscape is once again changing as Abyss returns to the Competitive and Deathmatch queues, while Icebox is temporarily removed.
Gameplay and System Updates in VALORANT Patch 11.04
Key system tweaks aim to improve overall gameplay clarity and player comfort:
- The audio for minimap pings is now less harsh, making communication less jarring.
- Ultimate ability area indicators on the minimap have been recolored for better clarity: ally zones show as consistent teal, while enemy zones are marked in yellow. Additionally, ultimate icons will only appear if the ultimate is destructible.
Esports Store Gifting Goes Live
VALORANT players can now share their love for VCT teams through gifting in the esports store. The dedicated esports tab in the in-game store enables fans to purchase and send gifts, supporting their favorite teams and enhancing community engagement.
New Philippines Server
Players in the Asia Pacific region get a boost with a new server launching in Manila. This will be the sixth server in the Asia Pacific, promising better connectivity and a smoother gaming experience.
Bug Fixes and Known Issues
The patch also addresses a wide range of bug fixes, from agent-specific glitches to map-related issues:
- Fixed minimap and ability bugs involving Chamber, KAY/O, Astra, Harbor, Phoenix, Tejo, and Neon.
- Resolves an issue with Molotov placement on Split.
- Competitive and Premier mode UI issues with text cutoff in certain languages have been addressed.
A known issue remains around resolution and display settings resetting after patching to Unreal Engine 5, but players are advised to manually adjust their settings as needed.
