The time has come to rank the top 5 support players at this year's Worlds!

Due to the role's strengths being particularly difficult to quantify, debate often swirls around who might truly be the best support in the world. As always, this ranking is a reflection on these players' current form, capacity to perform under pressure, influence in their teams, champion pools and Worlds meta affinity.

Join us as we go over the very best support players looking to take the Worlds 2024 trophy.

5. Keria (T1)

They may be the reigning World Champions, but Ryu "Keria" Min-seok and T1 only just managed to show up in time to qualify for Worlds 2024.

Known for his innovative champion picks and aggressive playstyle, Keria was among the top support players as soon as he began his professional career. Since joining T1 at the end of 2020, Keria has never gone out of Worlds before the semifinals. This year, however, the star support player will be truly tested, as his team comes into the tournament at one of its lowest all-time points .

4. Meiko (TES)

The most experienced player on this list, Ye "Meiko" Tian won Worlds with EDG back in 2021. After playing League of Legends at the highest level for 10 years, Meiko still remains one of the very best support players in the game.

Now, with JackeyLove as Meiko's partner in crime on Top Esports, the duo boast one of the strongest bot lanes at the tournament. The TES bot lane is composed of two former World Champions, but do they have what it takes to do it all again?

3. ON (BLG)

BLG ran away with the LPL Summer trophy, and that was in no small part due to Wenjun "ON" Luo's superb run of form. Across the entire bracket, ON led all support players for assists, finishing the tournament with an incredible 14.3 assists per game.

After finishing in second place at MSI in both 2023 and 2024, ON and the rest of BLG will come into Worlds 2024 hungrier than ever at the possibility of finally getting their hands on an international trophy.

2. Lehends (GEN)

Son "Lehends" Si-woo and Gen.G dominated the LCK Summer Season, breaking records left and right. And yet, despite their domination, the team lost to Hanwha Life Esports when it mattered most in a thrilling grand finals. Throughout the tournament, however, Lehends was at the heart of everything his team wanted to do, leading all supports in the league with a 76.2% Kill Participation.

LCK Champion, MSI Champion, LCK MVP and MSI Finals MVP, Lehends has done it all. That is, all except win Worlds. Will this finally be his year?

1. Delight (HLE)

Yoo "Delight" Hwan-joong made a name for himself as one of the absolute best supports in the world only last year. After joining Gen.G at the end of 2023, Delight quickly exploded into stardom. Now on HLE, Delight upset his old team to earn himself yet another trophy at the 2024 LCK Summer Playoffs.

What truly sets Delight apart, however, is how influential he is in the team. Even when things are looking bleak, you can never discount Delight from finding a fantastic engage to turn the tide of the game. And for that reason, there's no support player at Worlds currently better than him.
