In the upcoming VCT Game Changers Championship, one of the toughest competitors for the NA queens, Cloud9 White, will be G2 Gozen from Europe. The European Superteam have been consistently at the top of Game Changers. In the upcoming tournament, G2 will compete on their home turf of Berlin for a chance to be crowned the first Game Changers World Champion.

The Originals - The Origins of the roster:

After the announcement of Valorant Game Changers, the dominant and unbeatable XSET CSGO team switched to Valorant. The roster consisted of zaAz, Juliano, Petra, Mimi, and the Russian Valorant player Annja started competing in Valorant as The Originals.

The roster played the inaugural VCT Game Changers EMEA Series I but couldn't win the tournament. The team placed third after losing to Tenstar Nova.

G2 soon picked up "The Originals" roster with Coach Carcass. They played under the name of G2 Gozen in the VCT Game Changers Series II. The team failed to win the tournament, placing third after losing to Tenstar Nova again.

Soon, aNNja was benched, and the team competed with Cille instead. Come VCT GC Series III, G2 dominated the competition and reached the finals without dropping a map. On the way to the finals, they finally overcame Tenstar Nova. The team played Guild X in the finals and defeated them 2-0 to win their first VCT GC title. With the win, a new rivalry between Guild X and G2 Gozen blossomed.

The G2 Gozen Domination in 2022:

With the start of the 2022 season, G2 Gozen acquired Glance from Guild X, and aNNja joined GuildX. The team with the added firepower of Glance entered the first VCT GC of 2022. In the tournament, G2 Gozen annihilated the competition. Winning the whole tournament without dropping a single map. With Juliano leading the team from the front. The team again defeated Guild X in the finals to fuel the rivalry.

The second VCT Game Changers tournament yielded the same result winning the whole tournament and the finals against Guild X without dropping a map. Post the tournament, zaAz announced her retirement from the competitive scene.

Chat banned's Mary took zaAz's spot in the roster, and with VCT Game Changers EMEA Series III, the team kept their winning ways. With the 2-1 Victory over Guild X in the upper finals, G2 Gozen confirmed their VCT Game Changers Championship spot.

The finals of EMEA series III once again had G2 Gozen against Guild X. While G2 held strong, Guild X, for the first time, defeated G2 Gozen in a close-fought 3-2 victory.

VCT Game Changers Championship

G2 Gozen coming into the Game Changers Championship will be the event's favourite. Led by Juliano, the team will be one of the toughest competitors at the event. With Glance and Mary, the team now has new young talent complimenting the veteran presence of Juliano, Petra and Mimi.

The team also employs some off-meta picks and brings innovation to the game. Seeing how it fares against some of the world's best will be interesting. With the veteran presence, the team has the upper hand in LAN experience, but the others will surely bring their A-Game. Whatever the conditions, The G2 Samurais will surely rise, and #G2Army will support them.
