T1 has confirmed the signing of Yu "BuZz" Byung-chul, the former DRX duelist, solidifying their roster. The announcement was made through T1's social media accounts, marking a new chapter for both the team and BuZz.

The move to T1 had been widely speculated for weeks, and today the rumors were put to rest with the official confirmation. BuZz’s signing comes just one week after his departure from DRX, where he had been a cornerstone of their success, especially in the latter half of the 2024 season.

T1's Growing Roster Poses Dilemma

BuZz's signing is the latest move in a sweeping roster overhaul for T1. In just a few days, the organization has also added Ko "Sylvan" Young-sub and Kim "Meteor" Tae-o, making BuZz the seventh player on their squad. T1's aggressive recruitment strategy signals their intent to rebuild after an underwhelming 2024 season.

However, T1 now faces a roster dilemma. VALORANT teams are limited to five active players, and with seven players on their current roster, T1 will need to make tough decisions regarding their lineup.

Their recent YouTube video unveiling BuZz hinted at potential roster changes, as the jerseys of Meteor, Sylvan, Carpe, iZu, and stax were displayed, with the empty spot filled by BuZz. This suggests that T1 may be considering a departure for one of their existing members, Kevin "xccurate" Susanto, who has already been replaced by Meteor from their registered roster for the off-season tournament Red Bull Home Ground #5 - APAC Play-In.

BuZz brings immense value to T1, having been an integral part of DRX's resurgence during the 2024 season. His skills as a duelist have made him a very sought-after player. And T1 is banking on him to help steer the team back to competitive success. As the 2024-2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on how T1 manages their new roster. And whether BuZz, along with their new signings, can help them achieve their comeback.
