The legend of Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok continues to grow, this time with T1 partnering with the South Korean minting company KOMSCO to create a commemorative medal in honor of the star player's legacy and achievements.

Available in silver and gold, these medals will represent one of the most high-end ways of showing your love and appreciation for the greatest League of Legends players of all time.

Faker: The GOAT gets his medal

After leading the team to a total of a five World Championship titles, T1 has seen to it that Faker is honored accordingly when the world's greatest turns 29 years old on May 7th. With the help of Faker's team, KOSMCO, minting and security printing giants and the company responsible for producing South Korea's official banknotes and coins, will produce commemorative medals as a new way to honor the player and his esports legacy.

These medals, which will be "coming soon", are expected to arrive near the date of Faker's upcoming birthday. The medals will be available in both silver and gold, with the price for each kind looking as follows:

  • Silver medal: ₩365,000 KRW (roughly €225)
  • Gold medal: ₩3,650,000 KRW (roughly €2255)

Keep in mind this is no every-day-way of honoring a player in the esports scene, and anyone looking to get their hands on one of these medals will have to dig deep into their wallets first!
