The latest cinematic addition to League of Legends, Welcome to Noxus - Bite Marks, has brought many of our favorite champions to our screens. Perhaps none will quite spark conversation, however, like one specific champion who only appeared at the very end of the cinematic: LeBlanc.

To the surprise of League of Legends fans, The Deceiver's appearance in the cinematic showed an entirely new LeBlanc. With a fresh look, LeBlanc's addition to the cinematic is sure to start turning heads by letting loose a wave of possible implications for her character as well as for the rest of Runeterra.

Soon after the release of the cinematic, the latest League of Legends dev blog also confirmed LeBlanc would be getting a brand new look in-game as well.

LeBlanc's New Look: Possible Implications

It seems unlikely that Riot Games would go to such length to give LeBlanc new and updated visuals only for them to do nothing more with these after the fact. LeBlanc, after all, is no ordinary mage.

The Pale Sorceress is the leading figure in the Black Rose, a secret organization that has guided Noxian politics for centuries. Long before Noxus became the fearsome empire it is today, LeBlanc made use of Noxii tribes to, along with the help of Vladimir, take down her master Mordekaiser, subsequently forming the organization.

Working from the shadows, the Black Rose featured sporadically in Season 2 of Arcane. Perhaps with LeBlanc getting a new look, the Black Rose is set to play a big role in whichever new direction Arcane will choose to head next.

The Black Rose takes over

Even in League of Legends itself, the Black Rose is beginning to feature more now than ever before with the upcoming release of the new Masque of the Black Rose skinline. Mel, moreover, who is now set to become the latest champion addition to League of Legends, appeared ready to take on the Black Rose as Arcane wrapped to a close.

All the signs point towards the increased importance of the LeBlanc spearheading League of Legends in a new direction towards unexplored territories. Perhaps, given time, we will finally get to see LeBlanc exposed and confronted by Mel.
