LCK organization Nongshim RedForce has made the bold move in this off-season to secure Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon and Son “Lehends” Si-woo for their 2025 roster. Both Kingen and Lehends have been part of stellar rosters in the LCK and bring their wealth of experience to Nongshim for the new season.

Furthermore, as the final pieces, jungler Lee "Sylvie" Seung-bok and  ADC Jung "Jiwoo" Ji-woo has also re-signed with the roster. These four moves complete Nongshim RedForce's roster for the 2025 season.

Kingen: Downward Trajectory Since 2022?

Kingen’s explosive peak came in 2022, with the famous DRX Cinderella run In the Grand Finals of that run, he earned the Finals MVP for his performance against T1, completing the dream run.

Since then, Kingen first joined a revamped Hanwha Life Esports super  project with teammate Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo, joining names like Park “Viper” Do-hyeon. Unfortunately, Kingen was never able to display the same heights, and after a year, shipped off to Dplus KIA.

Dplus had a decent year all-in-all in 2024, qualifying for Worlds. However, they were unable to clear through the Swiss Stage. And it appears, once again, Kingen is on the move. He has now found a new home on Nongshim, where hopefully, he can refind his form amidst new faces.

Lehends: Time’s Up

Despite parting ways with Gen.G in 2022, Lehends was still considered an incredible talent, and was an integral reason for KT Rolster’s competitiveness in 2023 (top 8, lost to JDG). For that, he earned a second shot on Gen.G with young ADC Kim “Peyz” Su-hwan.

However, Gen.G once again failed to make it past the semifinals. Despite a dominant year for the most part, including Lehends earning the MVP for himself for his performance during MSI 2024 (which Gen.G won), ultimately, Gen.G’s bot lane did not deliver on the biggest stage and was a major contributing factor to Gen.G not defeating T1 in the semifinals.

Immense Positive for the Organization, Banishment for the Two

For Nongshim RedForce, getting access to talents like Kingen and Lehends would normally be out of reach. However, it appears the two are not highly desired for the 2025 season.

While a decent force within the LCK, Nongshim regularly finishes near the bottom of the table and has never qualified for MSI or Worlds for all of their history.

That, however, can be a positive for the 2. With little to no expectations on their shoulders, if there was a time for the two to find their form and bearings, it would be in 2025. We expect the LCK in 2025 to be a fairly interesting league to witness, especially with the shuffling of all the talents throughout.

Nongshim RedForce Current LCK Roster for 2025
