JD Gaming has confirmed the acquisition of Korean Botlaner Kim "Peyz" Su-hwan for the 2025 LPL season. After a successful stint with Gen.G in the LCK, Peyz is set to bring his explosive playstyle and proven track record to the LPL, marking a major step in JDG’s plans to dominate the league.

Peyz’s Journey with Gen.G

Peyz’s rise to prominence began in 2020, when he joined Gen.G Academy. Progressing through the ranks, he made his debut in Gen.G’s main roster in 2022. Over two years, Peyz cemented his reputation as one of the LCK’s brightest stars.

In those two years, Peyz claimed three LCK championships, an MSI trophy, and earned the 2023 Rookie of the Year award. He made history as the youngest player in the LCK to reach 1,000 career kills in the shortest time. Despite falling to eventual champions T1 in the semifinals of Worlds 2024, Peyz leaves Gen.G as one of their most celebrated players.

His move to JDG mirrors the career path of Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk, the legendary Gen.G bot laner Peyz replaced in 2022. Ruler also joined JDG in 2022 before returning to Gen.G earlier this year.

JDG’s Ambitious Plans for 2025

The signing of Peyz is part of JDG’s larger strategy to build a championship-caliber roster. Following the acquisition of veteran support Lou "Missing" Yunfeng and esteemed head coach Kim "cvMax" Dae-ho, Peyz’s addition bolsters JDG’s bottom lane synergy, a critical aspect of the team’s success in the upcoming season.

While the rest of JDG’s roster remains under wraps, the organization’s recent moves have fans eagerly speculating about further signings.

For Peyz, this marks the beginning of a new chapter in his career. Transitioning from the LCK to the LPL, he will face new challenges and rivalries. However, with his track record of adapting and excelling, Peyz is well-positioned to thrive in JDG’s ambitious environment.

As JDG finalizes its roster, fans can look forward to an exciting 2025 LPL season.
