After a tumultuous year with the roster, JDG Esports has announced the departure of their AD Carry Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk.

The former best LPL team, had a fall out after their Worlds 2023 loss to T1 that led to the departure of Knight and 369 from the roster. They brought in Flandre, sheer and Yagao into the mix.

The roster’s first expedition concluded with a 2nd place finish at the Demacia Cup, where they lost to Bilibili Gaming in the Grand Finals.

Unfortunately, they could not replicate the same results as in 2023 when LPL Spring 2024 rolled around. JDG finished 3rd during the regular season behind Top Esports and Bilibili Gaming. They lost to Top Esports in the playoffs twice, placing third and missing MSI 2024.

JDG dominated their Group during LPL Summer 2024 and managed to qualify for the Playoffs. In the playoffs, they lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas, a team they dominated earlier in the groups and were eliminated early.

They exacted revenge on Ninjas in Pyjamas during the LPL Regional Finals but lost to Weibo Gaming, missing out on Worlds 2024.

The results were underwhelming for JDG and Ruler. Despite losing their crucial pieces, they were amongst the top teams in the competition. With the year ending in disappointment, the two parties have decided to part ways with each other. Both will be looking to take necessary steps to reach their former glory in 2025.
