Worlds 2024 simply wouldn't feel the same without Faker and T1. Despite the team failing to qualify for Worlds during their LCK Summer Playoffs run after losing to Hanwha Life Esports, fans of the legendary organization still hold on to hope of seeing T1 compete on the biggest stage.

At the upcoming LCK Regional Finals, T1 will have to win at least one of two series in order to earn their spot at this year's Worlds.

T1 will have no more than two shots at qualification, however. After that, the lights go out.

A rematch for Worlds

T1's first shot at Worlds qualification will come against a strong Dplus KIA team, who they are set to face in a best-of-five match on Thursday, September 12th. If T1 take the win, Faker and the rest of the team will be attending Worlds.

DK finished the LCK Summer group stage in third place with a 13-5 record, ahead of T1's fourth place finish and 11-7 record.

Crucially, though, T1 defeated DK on September 1st during the LCK Summer Playoffs. Despite the team's weaker group stage performance, T1 dominated DK in the series, defeating them with a convincing 3-1.

This time with Worlds on the line, T1 will look to replicate their last series form and make sure there are no surprises.

If T1 lose against DK, however, the team will still have one final shot at making it to Worlds.

T1's final chance

If T1 were to lose their series against DK, the team's last shot at making it to Worlds would come during the final game of the LCK Regional Finals.

There, T1 would have to face the winner of KT Rolster vs BNK FearX.

The final Worlds qualification match for LCK teams will take place this Saturday, September 14th.

Like against DK, T1 beat KT during the Summer Playoffs with a 3-1 scoreline, and would come into a potential rematch feeling confident about their chances.

As for FearX, the team struggled during the regular season, where they finished in 6th place with a 8-10 record. As against KT, T1 should feel confident about a potential match against FearX, as they would surely come into the series as the better team.

One thing is certain, however, Faker and the team cannot take any chances. Whether it be KT or FearX, the reigning World Champions will need to be bring their A game for what would be the team's final shot at defending their title at Worlds 2024.
