The League of Legends system is currently undergoing an overhaul in the PBE, the effects of which will mean that being friendly and helpful toward your teammates will be more meaningful than ever before.

League of Legends promises an exciting new season in 2025 with lots of changes headed our way, and the new Honor System will only add to coming shift.

The more Honor you accrue by having a positive effect in your games and on your teammates, the faster you will climb through the levels of the Honor System, earning the chance to gain better rewards. Likewise, the lower you drop in Honor, the more restricted your access to features will be. Here's a breakdown of what the five different Honor levels currently have in store for us in the PBE:

Honor Level 1

  • Removed access to All Chat
  • Removed access to Champ Select Chat
  • Removed access to Post-Game Chat
  • Ineligibility for Ranked Split Rewards

Honor Level 2

  • Removed access to All Chat
  • Ineligibility for Ranked Split Rewards

Honor Level 3

  • Gain Battle Pass XP drops
  • Access to every chat channel
  • Can earn Ranked Split Rewards

Honor Level 4

  • All Honor Level 3 benefits
  • Increased Battle Pass XP drops
  • Honor emblem will be visible on the loading screen
  • More frequent Pings and Emotes allowed

Honor Level 5

  • All Honor Level 4 benefits
  • Maximum Battle Pass XP drops
  • Honor emblem will be visible in chat
  • Honor recall awarded
  • All current and past Honor skins unlocked

Pending details

At this time, several important details regarding the new League of Legends Honor System still remain undefined, such as which Honor Level new accounts start with, whether there will be an Honor reset with the new season start, or what the climb across ranks will look like.

With all these questions in mind, expect more information regarding the new Honor System, and the new League of Legends season as a whole, to come soon.
