Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, one of North America’s most accomplished Counter-Strike players, is reportedly on the verge of joining FaZe Clan, according to HLTV and journalist Guillaume "neL" Rathier. This high-profile move would see EliGE transition to the European scene, becoming a key piece in FaZe’s quest to reclaim their status as a dominant force.

The move follows weeks of speculation about EliGE’s future, with hints dropped by both the player and Complexity’s owner, Jason Lake. EliGE’s addition would bolster a FaZe roster looking to rebound after a lackluster 2024, where their only title came at IEM Chengdu. His experience and skill could provide the spark the team needs to return to its former glory.

EliGE is expected to replace Robin "ropz" Kool in FaZe’s lineup, as the Estonian rifler is reportedly heading to Vitality to take over for Lotan "Spinx" Giladi. These moves represent a major shake-up among top-tier European teams, marking a transformative offseason for the competitive Counter-Strike scene.

G2 Esports’ Pursuit Falls Short as FaZe Moves Closer

FaZe wasn’t the only organization vying for EliGE’s signature. G2 Esports had also shown interest but ultimately shifted their focus to Nikita "HeavyGod" Martynenko of Cloud9 after falling short in their pursuit. EliGE’s availability sparked considerable attention across the scene, highlighting his continued relevance as one of the game’s premier players.

If the deal goes through, EliGE’s arrival at FaZe could redefine both his career and the team’s trajectory. For EliGE, it’s an opportunity to make his mark on the European stage and add to his trophy cabinet, with his most recent title being ESL Pro League Season 11 North America, over four years ago, while for FaZe, it represents a positive step towards reviving their legacy.

If FaZe finalizes the acquisition of EliGE, their roster for the 2025 season will consist of:

  •     Håvard "rain" Nygaard
  •     Helvijs "broky" Saukants
  •    David "frozen" Čerňanský
  •     Finn "karrigan" Andersen
  •     Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski
