The Esports World Cup 2024 is poised to be a monumental event in the competitive gaming scene. Set in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this tournament will feature top-tier Overwatch teams from around the globe. With a substantial prize pool and an impressive lineup of elite teams, the EWC 2024 is sure to offer exhilarating matches and unforgettable moments for esports fans worldwide.

Format

  • Group Stage
    • It will feature four double round robin groups with all matches being a First-to-3.
    • The top three teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs.
    • The top team from each group will earn a first-round bye.
  • Playoffs
    • It will follow a single elimination bracket format, with all matches also being a Ft3.

Schedule

The tournament will run from July 24th to 28th, which includes all Group Stage and Playoff matches. The schedule will be as follows:

Group Stage Matches 

  • All Group Stage matches will be held on July 24th and 25th.

Playoffs

  • The Playoffs will be held on July 26th to 28th.

Prize Pool

The Esports World Cup will award a massive $1,050,000 USD prize pool for the Overwatch competition, dividing it among the participants as follows:

  • 1st Place: $400,000 + 1000 Club Points
  • 2nd Place: $160,000 + 600 Club Points
  • 3rd - 4th Place: $80,000 + 275 Club Points
  • 5th - 8th Place: $40,000 + 60 Club Points
  • 9th - 12th Place: $20,000
  • 13th -16th Place: $10,000
