Sources tied to Esports Journalist LEC Wooloo state that Joseph "Jojopyun" Pyun will be joining Cloud9 in the LCS for 2024.

Jojopyun himself has confirmed this as he made a post on his X account.

Cloud9 also teased the acquirement of Jojopyun through an X post on their account.

Future for Cloud9

The previous C9 Mid Laner is consequently removed from their roster. A possible reason could be criticism of his gameplay in the later stages of the year. Another reason could be the controversy of his inappropriate remarks in a solo queue game. The future for Jang "EMENES" Min-Soo remains unclear, with potentially being forced to retire.

With Jojopyun joining Cloud9, they will need to find a support player as Zven has departed. It is possible that aside from the newly aquired mid laner and searching for a support player that C9 will make no further changes to their roster. This is due to their successful year in making it to Worlds 2023 as well as being the runner up in the Summer split of the LCS. They also achieved being the champions of the Spring split in the LCS. With roster announcements being made public everyday, stay tuned to Strafe news for upcoming changes.
