In a surprising turn of events, ENCE has officially announced the departure of Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia and Pavle "Maden" Bošković from their Counter-Strike 2 roster. The organization cited that SunPayus's contract has been bought out by another team, while Maden has chosen not to renew his contract with ENCE.

End of an Era

The announcement comes just hours after ENCE revealed that the core roster had played their final match together at the BLAST World Final.

This marks the end of a chapter that saw Maden join ENCE in January 2022, contributing to impressive finishes at PGL Major Antwerp, ESL Pro League Season 15, and IEM Dallas 2022.

SunPayus, who joined ENCE in August of the same year, played a crucial role in establishing the team as title contenders. His efforts were instrumental in breaking ENCE's title drought, with a standout performance at IEM Dallas 2023 that earned him the Most Valuable Player award.

New Horizons for SunPayus and Maden

In an unexpected twist, Falcons has swiftly secured the services of SunPayus and Maden from ENCE. The Saudi Arabian organization has also finalized the long-awaited addition of Emil "Magisk" Reif to their roster.

This move reunites SunPayus and Maden with their former teammate Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer. Thus creating a three-man core that had a successful run under ENCE for over a year. The trio achieved significant milestones, including a victory at IEM Dallas and runners-up finishes at IEM Cologne and Gamers8.

The new acquisitions mean that Falcons will inherit a direct invitation to the European Regional Major Ranking event and skip the online qualifying process for the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen. This privilege is attributed to ENCE reaching the top-16 stage at the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

The New roster

Falcons' roster for the upcoming competitions is now solidified with the following players:

  • Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas
  • Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer
  • Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia
  • Pavle "Maden" Bošković
  • Emil "Magisk" Reif

The coaching responsibilities for the team will be shouldered by Danny "zonic" Sørensen.

What Lies Ahead

With this unexpected roster shuffle, Falcons not only secure a formidable lineup but also secure their participation in key tournaments, including the European Regional Major Ranking event and potentially IEM Katowice. The move raises anticipation for how this revamped roster will perform in upcoming competitions.
