The Deadly Sniper: Analyzing Kali in Rainbow Six Siege
Kali, or Jaimini Kalimohan Shah, is an Attacker in Rainbow Six Siege. She leads the private military company NIGHTHAVEN. Kali joined Rainbow during Operation Shifting Tides but remains a controversial figure both in gameplay and the story.
Born to wealthy parents in India, Kali had every advantage growing up. Her self-belief was unshakable until she hit a wall trying to join combat roles in the military. Despite her status and money, she was rejected due to her gender. This became a defining moment in her life.
A Different Path

Instead of fighting a system that wouldn’t change, Kali went around it. She built a private security company, and later NIGHTHAVEN — a powerful, international private military group. She hired elite talent, including Anja "Osa" Janković, who became the head of R&D at NIGHTHAVEN.
NIGHTHAVEN’s power grew quickly. It succeeded through high-end tech, contract control, and brutal efficiency. Kali made herself indispensable to India and several other governments. She got what she wanted — combat leadership — on her own terms.
Joining Rainbow

Rainbow recruited Kali and Wamai in 2019 after NIGHTHAVEN rescued a hijacked tanker. The official reason was their heroics. The real reason was to keep NIGHTHAVEN close and out of enemy hands. Trust issues began immediately.
Kali blocked Rainbow from accessing Osa’s tech and issued legal threats when they pushed. Her cold, calculated decisions clashed with the values of operators like Ash. This tension would later explode in front of everyone.
The Six Invitational and Conflict

In 2021, Kali was placed on Team Ash for the Six Invitational. The goal was to help her work better with Ash, who considered Kali and NIGHTHAVEN a threat. The two clashed during matches, including a key moment where Finka was lost due to poor communication.
Despite this, Kali showed leadership. She trained with her team, introduced them to new tech like the Masterframe Prototype I, and led with her own rules. During the final match, she ignored Ash’s orders and used her as bait to win the round — grazing Ash’s ear with a close-range shot in the process.
Ash punched her afterward. The tension broke wide open. The win didn’t matter to Ash, but for Kali, it was just business. She got what she wanted — another victory, another show of control.
The Bigger Plan

After the tournament, Kali pushed for Osa’s formal inclusion in Rainbow. This was part of a long game — gaining trust and planting deeper roots. She continued recruiting, eventually pulling Ela, Smoke, IQ, Pulse, and others into NIGHTHAVEN after the 2022 Invitational.
Eventually, NIGHTHAVEN defected from Rainbow. When their Singapore base was attacked and tech was stolen, Kali responded fast. She blamed Rainbow and began planning retaliation, though she warned her people not to kill or provoke open war.
Ghosteyes later cornered her. Solis and Caveira caught her loading a strike team onto a chopper. Even though Kali claimed she was innocent, Rainbow couldn’t risk escalation. She was captured, and NIGHTHAVEN was shut down — for now.
Gameplay Role and Loadout

Kali is a medium-health attacker focused on gadget destruction and long-range support. She’s not a frontline breacher but a disruptor who softens defenses for others.
Primary Weapon: CSRX 300

Kali uses the CSRX 300, a bolt-action sniper rifle with extreme damage. It downs most operators with a single body shot and kills instantly with a headshot.
The rifle can:
-
Break soft walls and barricades in one shot
-
Destroy defender gadgets
-
Hold long lines of sight
The scope can switch between 5x and 12x zoom, making her flexible across long angles. But the gun fires slowly and has long recovery between shots. In close quarters, Kali is vulnerable.
Secondary Weapons
She can choose from:
-
C75 Auto: Full-auto machine pistol for emergencies
-
SPSMG9: Compact burst SMG
-
P226 Mk 25: Reliable semi-auto handgun
Most players favor the C75 Auto or SPSMG9 to offset her slow rifle.
Gadgets
-
Claymore: Protects flanks while she holds angles
-
Breach Charges: Opens soft walls or hatches if needed
LV Explosive Lance: How It Works

The CSRX 300 includes an under-barrel launcher that fires the LV Explosive Lance. This is her special ability.
The Lance burrows into any surface, waits 3 seconds, and detonates on both sides of the wall or barricade. It clears defender gadgets in a 3-meter radius and won’t hurt defenders much, but it removes:
-
Jammers
-
Batteries
-
Bulletproof cameras
-
Shield gadgets
-
Miras, Gu Mines, Prismas, and more
The CSRX 300 can shoot through reinforced walls, Castle panels, and unbreachable surfaces. However, if intercepted by Jäger’s ADS or Wamai’s Mag-NETs, the Lance won’t reach the target.
The Lance ignores electrified or jammed walls, making it valuable against setups with Bandit or Mute.
Each Lance is loaded one at a time. She has four total.
Synergy With Teammates

Kali’s strength is supporting hard breachers like:
-
Thermite: Needs gadget removal for safe charges
-
Hibana: Fires small holes, needs clean walls
-
Ace: Tosses gadgets that can be intercepted — Kali clears the way
By destroying defender setups, Kali gives her team a better chance to open walls or push through chokepoints.
Strategy and Tips

-
Don’t rush. Kali thrives in positions where she can watch flanks or sightlines.
-
Clear gadgets before teammates breach. Your Lance softens the site.
-
Hold long angles. Force defenders to avoid open areas.
-
Swap to secondary if caught close. The rifle’s reload and bolt delay will get you killed up close.
-
Watch for gadget counters. Don’t waste Lances on Jäger or Wamai setups.
Final Thoughts

Kali in Rainbow Six Siege is built for control, not chaos. She plays by her own rules — both in the game and the story. Her gear disrupts, her rifle intimidates, and her mindset doesn’t bend.
She’s not a team player in the traditional sense. But with the right setup, she can shift the outcome of a round. Whether Rainbow accepts her again or not, Kali’s role is locked in — the sharpshooter who tears down defenses and never backs down.
