Team Vitality have officially etched their names into the history books of Counter-Strike. With their victory over Team Falcons in the IEM Dallas 2025 Semifinals, the squad broke the long-standing record for the longest win streak in Bo3 and Bo5 series on LAN, previously held by Ninjas in Pyjamas with their iconic 28-0 run in 2013.

By following it up with a Grand Finals win against MOUZ, Vitality pushed the record to 30 consecutive Bo3/Bo5 victories, setting a new benchmark in the CS scene.

Surpassing Legends

While NIP still holds the all-time record for the most consecutive match wins across all formats (60), Vitality’s 30-series streak is unmatched in the modern era, especially considering the competitive depth of today’s Counter-Strike ecosystem. For reference, Team Liquid’s memorable 2019 run topped out at 22 wins.

Vitality's run hasn't just been about consistency; it’s been about control. Since suffering their only loss of the year to Eternal Fire (now Aurora) at BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, they’ve gone on an unmatched tear, winning six of the seven tournaments they've played in this season. Not to mention the ESL Grand Slam they added along the way.

With each passing series, they've not only extended their record but also sent a message: this is the era of Team Vitality. As they slowly chip away at NIP’s all-time match streak, the conversation shifts from admiration to anticipation - just how far can this team go?

Dominating the Field

This dominance hasn’t come by chance. Vitality have dispatched world-class teams with stunning consistency - Team Spirit, MOUZ, Falcons, and even the resurgent MongolZ. Their series victories haven’t just been wins - they’ve been statements.

A key piece in this puzzle has undoubtedly been the addition of Robin “ropz” Kool. His calm, calculated impact has brought an extra layer of stability to an already stacked lineup. But to credit only him would be doing a disservice to the rest of the roster.

Dan “apEX” Madesclaire continues to go for the throne of best IGL with his sharp in-game leading. William “mezii” Merriman has delivered explosive rifling and high-impact clutch moments. Shahar “flameZ” Shushan has grown into a fiery entry who can swing rounds solo. And then, of course, there’s Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut. Still the best in the world, capable of turning games on their head, even when seemingly off-form.

Chasing Immortality

Vitality's map win streak may not yet rival NIP’s 87, but they’ve built a terrifying aura of invincibility in 2025. Every event they touch seems destined to end with a trophy lift. Their IEM Dallas triumph isn’t just another notch on their belt, it’s a thunderous declaration to the rest of the scene: we are in control.

As the summer heats up and the BLAST.tv Austin Major looms on the horizon, the question shifts from "how long can this continue?" to "who can stop them?" Vitality’s consistency, depth, and firepower have created a juggernaut that feels unbreakable. But in Counter-Strike, even the mightiest can fall. The real suspense now lies in waiting for that one team; the unlikely David brave enough to topple this French Goliath.

Another Early Exit, Same Old Story: Team Falcons Are Running Out Of Excuses

There is a cruel irony at the heart of Team Falcons' CS2 project. Hand someone from 2022 their current roster sheet — NiKo, m0NESY, TeSeS, Kyxsan, kyosuke, all under the tutelage of five-time Major-winning coach Zonic — and they would confidently declare this team the undisputed best in the world. And yet, here we are in March 2026, watching Falcons get knocked out of BLAST Open Spring in the quarterfinals by PARIVISION.
