Earlier today, T1 posted an X (Twitter) message indicating that player streams will be suspended indefinitely due to the continuous DDos attacks. The relentless onslaught had been happening for around six months prior to the culmination of this decision.

The decision to suspend player streams is a blow to their dedication. Solo queuing is not just a routine for them, it's a way to stay ahead of the meta and maintain their form for the crucial matches.

The severe lack of action on Riot's side is what ultimately led to this decision. Despite a 'solution' being implemented, it was only a matter of time before the issue resumed. This 'solution' was a security measure designed to protect the Korean Organization's HQ. However, it proved to be insufficient in preventing the DDos attacks, causing immense frustration for the players and organization.

T1 also reiterated that the LCK is not at fault for the frequency of these attacks, fostering a sense of unity and understanding within the gaming community.

It's also worth noting that the players from T1 affected by this are Choi "Zeus" Woo-je, Mun "Oner" Hyeon-jun, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, Lee "Gumayusi" Min-hyeong, and Ryu "Keria" Min-seok. These legendary players will be significantly impacted by this decision, which could lead to frustrations among the roster.

This resolution does not come lightly for the Korean organization, as it will undoubtedly lead to a significant loss of revenue for both the organization and the hard-working players.

Despite the challenging circumstances regarding the DDos attacks, T1 remains hopeful that Riot Games will resolve the issue as soon as possible, allowing the players to go back to their normal streaming schedules. Which in turn, would bring back the cashflow that the players and the organization would miss out on following this decision.

Update

Andrei 'Meddler' van Roon, the Senior Vice President and Studio Head of League Studio at Riot Games, made an X (Twitter) post in reply to the situation at hand.

Stating that Riot Games is indeed working on the issue regarding the DDOS attacks, and consider it a top priority. Furthermore, he went on to say that Riot have been working with T1 for several months in an attempt to solve these issues.
