Jake "Stewie2K" Yip will join G2 Esports’s lineup for IEM Dallas 2024, replacing their in-game leader Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen.

The smoke criminal will be a stand-in for “HooXi”. Who will miss the event due to attending his sister’s wedding, according to G2.

In a post on X, "Stewie2K" extended his gratitude to G2. And further expressing appreciation for the invaluable opportunity to compete in front of a hometown crowd in Dallas.

“Thanks @G2esports for the chance to compete and to potentially play in front of a home crowd in IEM Dallas. Grateful for this opportunity and to be able to play with the best rifler in the game @G2NiKo & a young star awper”. - Stewie2K on X

IEM Dallas will mark Jake’s official return to LAN events for the first time in over two years, after attending the PGL Major Antwerp RMR with Evil Geniuses.

Since then, “Stewie2K” made his official return to competitive Counter-Strike with his recent appearance alongside the Brazilian lineup of Legacy during the Esports World Cup 2024 North America Closed Qualifier.

Although his performances weren’t the best, it’s intriguing to see what he can bring to Dallas with a star packed lineup.

The official submitted G2 lineup for IEM Dallas:

“Stewie2K” will clash with the Falcons in the opening series of Group A, with the tournament taking place from May 27th until the second of June. You can follow the game on Strafe.
