Riot Games has unveiled an exciting new addition to the VALORANT Esports calendar: the VCT OFF//SEASON Spotlight Series.

This groundbreaking mixed-gender tournament is set to captivate fans from Thursday, October 10, to Wednesday, October 16, with an epic conclusion at Paris Games Week on Thursday, October 24.

The tournament is an invitational event featuring 14 teams from the VCT and Challengers circuits.

These teams have actively supported the Game Changers initiative and will showcase their talents in this mixed-gender competition.

To ensure diversity and inclusivity, each team must include at least two Game Changers players, although they have the flexibility to decide whether their roster will be majority male or female.

The stakes are high, with a €30,000 prize pool up for grabs.

Format:

  • The playoff stage will follow a double-elimination format.
  • Seeding will be determined by previous tournament results, granting the top two teams a first-round bye.
  • The remaining twelve teams will battle it out in the Upper and Lower Brackets, with the Upper Bracket featuring four rounds and the Lower Bracket consisting of six.

Daniel Ringland, Head of VALORANT Esports EMEA, expressed his excitement about these developments, stating,

“Our ambition with Game Changers is to create new opportunities for women in our ecosystem, and we hope these events will help us accelerate towards a future where all players are competing side by side at the highest level.”

As anticipation builds for the VCT OFF//SEASON Spotlight Series, fans can look forward to more details about the invited teams and the event itself.
