The Esports World Cup in Riyadh prepares to welcome Rainbow Six Siege X back to its grand stage, ushering in a new era for the tactical shooter with its second major international tournament under the updated “Siege X” banner. With 16 of the world’s most elite teams and a $2 million prize pool at stake, the event promises fierce competition and the birth of new legends.

Format

  • The tournament format for Rainbow Six Siege X at EWC 2025 includes two main stages: the Group Stage and the Playoffs.
  • The Group Stage takes place from August 5-6 and features 16 teams divided into two groups of eight.
    • Each group follows a double-elimination bracket, allowing teams a second chance after one loss.
    • The top four teams from each group then advance to the Playoffs stage.
  • From August 7-9, the Playoffs is a classic single-elimination, do-or-die gauntlet. Every team will face elimination with any loss, raising the stakes for high-intensity gameplay.
  • A separate 3rd place match is held for the semifinal losers, which is contested to secure more EWC Club Points, crucial for rankings and future invitations.

Groups

Teams earned their spots as follows:

  • Europe-MENA League: Top 5 teams

  • South America League: Top 4
  • APAC North Asia-Pacific League: Top team

  • Oceania Asia-Pacific League: Top team

The 16 teams are split into two stacked groups, each following a double-elimination format where every match is vital. Here’s how the opening round draws line up:

Group A

Group B

In both groups, teams that win advance in the upper bracket, while first-time losers get a single lifeline in the lower bracket. Two wins will mean that the team will advance to the playoffs.

Prize Pool & EWC Club Points

The substantial $2 million prize pool will be split between all the teams. But only the top-performing teams will earn the valuable EWC Club Points.
