Rainbow Six Siege X EWC 2025: Preview, Groups, Format and More
The Esports World Cup in Riyadh prepares to welcome Rainbow Six Siege X back to its grand stage, ushering in a new era for the tactical shooter with its second major international tournament under the updated “Siege X” banner. With 16 of the world’s most elite teams and a $2 million prize pool at stake, the event promises fierce competition and the birth of new legends.
Format
- The tournament format for Rainbow Six Siege X at EWC 2025 includes two main stages: the Group Stage and the Playoffs.
- The Group Stage takes place from August 5-6 and features 16 teams divided into two groups of eight.
- Each group follows a double-elimination bracket, allowing teams a second chance after one loss.
- The top four teams from each group then advance to the Playoffs stage.
- From August 7-9, the Playoffs is a classic single-elimination, do-or-die gauntlet. Every team will face elimination with any loss, raising the stakes for high-intensity gameplay.
- A separate 3rd place match is held for the semifinal losers, which is contested to secure more EWC Club Points, crucial for rankings and future invitations.
