In a thrilling display of tactical prowess and strategic finesse, PSG Talon secures their berth in the highly anticipated Manchester Major after a formidable campaign in the Rainbow Six Siege South Korea League.

League Recap

The Group Stage of the Rainbow Six Siege South Korea League took place from March 14 to April 5th, 2024.

  • It followed a Round-Robin format, with each team playing against all others.
  • All matches were played as Bo1 encounters.

WEBL topped the Group Stage with a 4-2-1-0 record, taking only a single Overtime loss against PSG Talon. Dplus followed closely behind with a 5-1-0-1 record, taking only one loss against WEBL. These two teams qualified directly to the Semifinal of the playoffs.

Coming in at 3rd place, PSG Talon secured their playoffs spot with a 4-1-2-0 record.

4th, 5th and 6th places were occupied by FearX, Beyond Stratos Gaming and BlossoM, each with 3-1-1-2, 2-1-1-3 and 2-0-1-4 records, respectively.

Mir Gaming and Before & After claimed the bottom places in the group stages with a single win each. These two teams did not qualify for the playoffs. They will play in the Open Qualifiers Playoffs.

The Playoffs

Matches in this stage are played as Bo3 series, demanding endurance and versatility from participating teams.

  • The top-ranked team secures direct qualification to the Major event.
  • While teams placing 2nd to 5th earn a chance in the Last Chance Qualifier.

In the quarterfinals, PSG Talon had a dominant 2-0 victory against BlossoM. And FearX did the same against Beyond Stratos Gaming on the other side.

Both these teams looked very strong as they also beat their respective semifinals opponents in Dplus and WEBL. PSG Talon beat Dplus 2-1, while FearX had another dominant 2-0 win against WEBL.

In the Grand Final, PSG had a dominant 2-1 win against FearX. They won their pick of Clubhouse at 7-3. And although PSG Talon conceded the second map in overtime at 7-8, they bounced back and regained their form as they won Skyscraper at a commanding 7-2.

PSG Talon are the first team from the regional leagues to qualify for the BLAST R6 Manchester Major.
