Paper Rex reaffirmed its dominance over the Pacific VALORANT scene by capturing its third regional trophy at the LaLa Arena in Tokyo. The Singaporean squad sealed a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Rex Regum Qeon in front of a roaring crowd, just months after lifting the Masters Toronto trophy.

Grand Finals Recap: PRX 3-1 RRQ

The series opened on Paper Rex’s map pick, Bind, where they set the tempo early with decisive, aggressive play. Led by something, whose exceptional skills on Yoru stood out, PRX claimed the map 13-8.

Ascent, a favored pick for RRQ, followed, but PRX’s f0rsaken and something dominated the first half 11-1. Though RRQ mounted a six-round comeback, Paper Rex steadied the ship to take a 13-7 win.

RRQ showed some resilience on Lotus, halting PRX's momentum. After a 6-6 opening half, RRQ’s monyet anchored a flawless defense across seven rounds, securing a 13-6 win and keeping the series alive.

Haven, the potential decider, saw PRX race to an 8-4 half behind disciplined defense. RRQ pressed for a comeback, but the Toronto champions held firm, winning the map 13-7 and the series 3-1.

Standout Performances and Accolades

Veteran teammates f0rsaken, d4v41, and jinggg notched their third Pacific trophy together, highlighting their consistency.

This win also raises Paper Rex’s total trophy count to four, cementing them as both regional titans and international contenders.

Looking Ahead: Champions Paris

With this latest victory, Paper Rex enters Champions Paris as the Pacific's top seed and a clear favorite, seeking redemption after narrowly missing the 2023 world title. For RRQ, a title already under their belt and another strong finals showing marks them as a serious threat among the region’s elite.

Paper Rex’s triumph in Tokyo was the best show of their strength and ambition as the 2025 VALORANT season heads towards its climax in Paris.
