It’s been a rough year for Nigma Galaxy. The team had been struggling for nearly two years in a row. In the 2021-2022 DPC season, the team got relegated. They fought their way back to Division I. However, despite their best efforts, the team failed to qualify for The International 2022.

Going into the 2022-2023 DPC season, the team made various roster shuffles. However, they only could keep their spot in the Winter Tour. In the Spring Tour, Nigma Galaxy got relegated once again. Before the Division II Summer Tour commenced, Nigma Galaxy tried to purchase a Division I slot in China. However, their offer got rejected as the team from China didn’t went to send a foreign team representing the Chinese region at The International 2023.

The Bleeding Continues

Before their Summer Tour, Nigma Galaxy once again made a roster shuffle. Despite consisting of the upcoming talents, Nigma Galaxy only won their debut series against Ancient Tribe in the Division II Summer Tour. They lost their following series against IVY and Level Up.

The Western Europe Division II is one of the cutthroat regional groups in the DPC season. Many professional players have publicly stated that it is even harder than WEU Division I. In the Spring Tour, the WEU Division II consisted of titans like Old G, Team Secret, Into The Breach and Monaspa. In the current Summer Tour, Division II in Western Europe consists of titans like Monaspa, The Ancient Tribe and Old G.

Losing to teams like IVY and Level Up, Nigma Galaxy’s upcoming matches will not get any easier. The team will have to bring the best foot forward to keep their Division II slot, and compared to the performance in the previous tours, Nigma has improved. Nigma Galaxy is in 6th place at Division II, while Level Up secured the top seed with four wins and no losses.

The Light

However, for Nigma Galaxy fans, there is some good news. The team secured an invite to play in Riyadh Masters MENA Closed Qualifiers along with Quest Esports. They need to come out on top at the Qualifiers to go to Riydah Masters, which features a $ 15,000,000 million USD prize pool.
