The DreamLeague Season 20 is around the corner. However, as the invited teams tried to boot camp together for the tournament, most of the teams ran into various visa issues. Shopify Rebellion is one of those teams, but fans can rest assured knowing the team already had a backup plan.

Their midlaner, Abed “ Abed” Yusop, got denied a Europe Visa. Thus a legendary midlaner and The International 2017 Champion, Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi, will standin’ for Shopify Rebellion in his steed at DreamLeague Season 20. Shopify Rebellion had also used a standin’ for Abed’s steed during DreamLeague Season 19.

The Reunion

Miracle- took a break for the 2022-2023 DPC Season, but he had once come out of his break for Nigma Galaxy during DreamLeague Season 19. Nigma Galaxy only could secure a 13th-14th place finish at DreamLeague Season 19.

Miracle- had played with some of the players from Shopify Rebellion. During his rookie years, Fly, Crit and Miracle were part of the first iteration of the original OG. The OG made history by becoming the first team to win the very first Valve-official Major. Miracle and the crew won the Manila Major after their Frankfurt Major victory.

Will Synergy be an issue?

Every player knows that Dota 2 is a game that relies heavily on team synergy. Although Miracle will be with his former teammates for the DreamLeague 20, certain feats might seem sceptical for them to pull off. However, some factors say otherwise.

Since his return for Nigma Galaxy at the DreamLeague, Miracle- has slowly been practising on his smurf account, and he is reaching the potential of his glory days. On his smurf account, he has a 51.5% win rate in recent days.

Shopify Rebellion is also a top-notch team that consists of several top-tier players. The team is undefeated in their region at the Summer Tour. Fly, SR’s in-game captain, is quite familiar with Miracle-’s playstyle and his versatile hero pool. SR’s soft support, Crit, also knows how to enable him.

The Cherry On Top

Moreover, Miracle-’s time in Shopify Rebellion also comes with some treats for the fans. At SR, Miracle- will be alongside Artour “天鸽” Babaev. The two players are known as the best players in the world. Now, fans will have a chance to see them playing together under the same banter.

Miracle- and Arteezy’s skills both combined could enable Shopify Rebellion to make a deep run at DreamLeague Season 20 when it starts on June 11.  SR will be up against Gaimin Gladiators for their debut match in DreamLeague Season 20.
