The LCS is kicking off again today with Week 2 of the 2024 Spring Split Regular Season! The top 2 contenders are Cloud9 and FlyQuest, who finished Week 1 with a perfect 2-0 score. The LCS will also be playing on patch 14.2 which sees major changes come to the Rift.

Heading into the 2nd week, Strafe Esports has curated a preview for the average LCS enjoyer. This includes the top teams coming into Week 2, details of the best matches to watch, and the general schedule for this weekend.

Favorites Heading Into LCS Winter Split Week 2

C9 and FLY are on a head start from all the other teams with their 2-0 record. In their matches, they have shown powerful drafts, strong individual micro performances, and great team chemistry.

Joseph "jojopyun" Pyun's C9 debut has been nothing short of incredible. He is consistently ahead in lane and synergizes well with Robert "Blaber" Huang's playstyle. The cold-cut aggressiveness they showed last week is nothing new when it comes to one of NA's long-time favorites.

With FLY's complete roster overhaul, they were at the very least expected to show lots of weaknesses in Week 1. However, they have managed to become one of the leading teams in the beginning of this split. These so-called weaknesses may come to light in this weeks matches but for now, they are proving themselves to be quite the powerhouse.

2-0 team meet the last LCS Champions. This battle of talent will brew chaos as old and strong veterans face NRG for the first time since last year. Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau coming out of retirement and already dominating the scene once again has yet to be challenged in the top side. Will Niship "Dhokla" Doshi be able to humble the Belgium laner?

Immortals vs Shopify Rebellion [27th Jan | 6PM EST/3PM PST]

Battle at the bottom! The two unfortunate teams to end Week 1 as 0-2 will face each other in a battle to not be placed in last. Keep in mind that Ju "Bvoy" Yeong-Hoon has not played yet for unknown reasons and is currently subbed out for Jason "WildTurtle" Tran. Thus meaning SR is not playing with their complete roster as of yet. IMT on the other hand is struggling to find their team chemistry and identity, as the roster had been revamped for the new season. We will see how each team develops in this match.
